DSV Business Application department is building up a team of solution architects to drive our product and solution transformation initiatives across the three main business units of Road, Air & Sea and Solutions. We are designing products and solutions which enable the digital transformation and meets the requirements of our customers and the business.
“In this position you will be able to make a large impact on the foundation of the future DSV Business IT landscape. The requirements from the business and the end users are high, so both quality, performance, up-time, time-to-market and business value are really important for all we do” says Jonas Plauska Bæklund, Director, Head of Solution Architecture in Global IT.
Your main task will be to analyse complex business problems/requirements and produce solution designs to allow the delivery teams to solve them. This includes:
These responsibilities require that you will act as both a technical problem-solver as well as a high-level architect.
Your Qualifications
Bachelor/Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field with a minimum of five plus (5+) years of related application/solution architecture or solution design experience; or
equivalent combination of post high school education and experience. Related experience in the logistics solutions industry is highly desirable.

Your main task will be to analyse complex business problems/requirements and produce solution designs to allow the delivery teams to solve them. This includes:
- Specifying technologies, application and infrastructure architecture considering reusability, standardization and a cost focus
- Producing and maintaining solution documentation in alignment with DSV’s documentation standards and our strategy and drive solution implementation according to these designs
- Manage changes to solutions, updating the solution design and documentation accordingly
- Responsible for guidance and resolution of technical issues and challenges faced by engineering teams
- Work with Enterprise Architecture, Business stakeholders, product & platform owners to create alignment on scope and solution design

Your Qualifications

- Ability to communicate on different levels of abstraction depending on the target group and product stage
- Ability to proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to be a strong team player, as well as the ability to effectively influence technical teams
- Ability to evaluate information, identify key issues and formulate conclusions based on sound, practical judgment, experience and common sense
- Ability to deliver to and successfully manage stakeholder expectations while working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, budgets and resources
- Ability to demonstrate expertise in delivering to a strategic agenda
- Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply best standards practices in software development and enterprise application architecture methodologies, such as Agile and Scrum
- Knowledge of and the ability interpret and apply best standards and practices in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
