About the position
We are looking for a Senior Functional and Business Systems Analyst to join the National Genome Database and Interpretation Support Section, to provide support to the Danish healthcare system. Among other things, the section is responsible for providing relevant software and tools for interpreting and classifying genomic variants, and for the development of the genome database, including implementation and optimization of processes. You will be joining a dynamic team of clinical scientists and bioinformaticians, and will work in close interaction with the teams at the HPC (High Performance Computing) Center. Your main responsibility will be to provide support throughout each stage of the project’s life cycle, from understanding the organization’s strategy, the business, the processes, and the needs of the stakeholders, to assist in defining the project scope, business requirements, functional specifications, design, and finally implementing the solution.
As our new business systems analyst, you will be in contact with different internal and external stakeholders, such as bioinformaticians and clinicians, to solicit, understand, and document (both written and visually) business requirements, processes, and workflows. As a functional analyst, you will also work with the software development team to create the functional specifications that meet those requirements and serve as a subject matter expert to the project team. You will also have to provide support to the Operations team. You will work closely with the project manager to assist with reporting of project progress and project management deliverables. This job requires an experienced analyst who can partner effectively with different kinds of stakeholders, drive results, and proactively identify and resolve problems.

Professional qualifications
We are looking for candidates that have:
- solid experience working with implementation of big data and complex IT projects
- university degree in IT, biological sciences or business, with IT orientation
- working experience identifying business strategy and the needs of the end users to translate them into business requirements, use cases, functional specifications, and technical requirements
- familiarity with different information system technologies, data analysis, and/or data analytics, and/or database concepts like DBMS, ETL, SQL, and nonSQL
- proficient in English or Danish
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
It would be a big plus if you have:
- relevant experience in systems integration
- knowledge of health industry software and processes
- understanding of bioinformatics and genetics
- acquaintance with different project management methodologies such as waterfall and agile.

- the collective agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Federation of Professional Associations (AC) (overenskomst for akademikere i staten) Depending on your academic qualifications and experience there is a possibility of being classified as a special or senior consultant according to appendix 4 (protocol concerning special- and senior consultants).

- the organizational agreement between The Danish Finance Ministry and the Organisation for Salaried Employees HK/Stat (Organisationsaftale for kontorfunktionærer, laboranter og it-medarbejdere (HK)), according to chapter 5 in the agreement and the collective agreement between The Danish Finance Ministry and the Organisation of Public Employees (OAO-S-Fællesoverenskomsten).
