Job description
As a senior developer in Application Development, you will join a team of 13 enthusiastic and passionate developers. Together you will be responsible for developing new and maintaining existing functionality for the internal applications of our current and future business services. You will be part of an application team who is looking to find an effective solution to any problem rather than implementing a quick fix. We are working together across applications to find commonalities and areas of improvement to increase the use of good solutions.
Together with a subgroup of developers, you will work on a specific product/application line by aligning closely with product owners, engineers, architects, and operators to identify the users’ needs and technical solutions for the ongoing and upcoming development tasks.
Over time you will be involved across one or more applications as several of our products are supporting the same business services.

Your primary tasks and areas of responsibility:
- Take the Senior Developer role in the team by being proactive and frontrunner to ensure an efficient flow in software development activities.
- Collaborate with engineers and operators in developing operational applications for operational support of the Nordic power systems.
- Design applications with an UI which can communicate large amounts of complex information in a clear and easily understandable way together with engineers and UX
- Transform engineering analysis output into tools and applications suitable to support the service development and operational organization.
- Work with the development team to identify potential improvements across our existing applications and internal processes.
- Document on-call procedures of the applications you are responsible for.
- Be up-to-date with the latest developments of the relevant technology.
- Act as a role model and mentor for less experienced developers.
Skills and experience
The ideal candidate will most likely have:
- Strong teamwork, problem-solving and communication skills.
- A proactive and explorative mindset willing to challenge the status quo and explore new approaches to improve the quality of our work.
- A degree in computer science or similar.
- Experience working as a full stack application developer.
- Experience with C#, .Net, Azure DevOps, and Kubernetes are considered advantageous.
- Knowledge of the energy sector and power systems is an advantage, but not a requirement.
