Are you ready to head a team of 18 experienced business applications specialists (developers, ERP specialists and data warehouse and general applications specialists)?

In this job, you get to apply both your technical understanding and strong business acumen to help ensure that we have the right business applications in place within our organisation but also that we have the right people to develop and continuously support those. Head of our IT Business Applications team

Based at our office in Copenhagen, you will join our Global IT department where you will be heading our IT Business Applications team and become part of our IT Leadership team (ITLT).

The team consists of two subteams: an ERP team and an applications team. Leading both, you will be directly responsible for the daily management of employees in Copenhagen, Zagreb and Cleveland. We also have a team in Bangalore, India, that you are responsible for. Included in this team is also a technical lead. It applies for all that you will use your leadership skills to manage and support a highly engaged global team.

Ensure a highly service-oriented approach to our business

A very important key task will be to meet business needs while maintaining a keen and dedicated customer focus. Managing and ensuring the development of your team will be another key task.

More specifically, your role includes:

  • Ensuring that our IT business applications meet business needs globally and to the highest possible degree and ensuring that our application solutions are geared for future growth
  • Managing your teams, including training, coaching, performance appraisals, recruitments, development of procedures and guidelines as well as supporting them with their tasks
  • Leading the development and implementation of an IT Business Applications strategy supporting our overall Business and IT Strategy
  • Managing IT Business Applications projects and initiatives
  • Ensuring our applications are compliant in collaboration with our Quality department and our IT CSV specialist
  • Managing vendors and sourcing in cooperation with our IT Leadership team (ITLT) and our Procurement organisation
  • Actively participating in ITLT meetings and contributing to the overall development of Global IT

A strong leader with profound business acumen and a good technical understanding

You are an open and transparent leader who masters the art of long-distance management and promotes a supportive and inspiring work environment.

Listening is a key skill of yours, and you put a lot of effort into finding the right fit for the business in both the IT solutions and the support offered. Therefore, your stakeholder management skills as well as your business sense need to be sharply honed. Also, we expect you to:

  • Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably within computer science, electronics or similar
  • Have solid leadership skills and experience managing a similar team
  • Have experience working with cost efficient IT Business Applications services – experience from the pharmaceutical industry and processes around computer system validation is an advantage
  • Know how to handle and negotiate with suppliers
  • Have good knowledge of compliance & GDPR in general
  • Be open to travel 10% of the time
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Speak and write English fluently

  • Oracle Enterprise One (ERP)
  • Hyperion (PBCS & HFM)
  • SAP SuccessFactors (Learning Management & Employee Central)
  • Office365
  • BI Tools (Tableau, Halo)

Currently, we use Biztalk & SSIS as our primary tools for system integration. We plan to implement K-Rise which will function as an integration tool, but we will use it for other purposes as well. K-Rise is built to work directly on top of Oracle Enterprise One, our ERP system.
