Technical Architect, Client Channels – Copenhagen

To support that and our exciting growth journey, we are looking to hire a highly skilled Technical Architect for Client Channels, who is able to reinforce our architecture team with defining the technical roadmap for the Banking Circle Connect UI and API, with focus on ensuring that the different services and components are continuously fit for purpose from a functional-, performance-, and scalability perspective.
You will be reporting to the Chief Architect of Banking Circle and be a part of our growing architecture function, which collaborates closely with business- and product owners across the company. Therefore, the position requires good understanding of business flows and the general architecture of the entire Banking Circle platform. One of your first tasks will be to collaborate closely with our development teams to define architecture and overall flow description for enhanced scalability of our API using Azure App Service scale-out, cluster management services like Zookeeper or Consul.io, and introducing dynamic health probes to various services.
Key responsibilities:
- Define the technical roadmap for BC Connect API and UI
- Run Proof of Concepts with new technologies
- Identify technical debt and performance bottlenecks and formulate mitigating design
- Ensure adequate documentation of API architecture- and design decisions
- Support the development teams with expertise for robust cloud-based architecture
- Run technical workshops, hackathons etc. with specific focus areas and exploratory topics
Skills and qualifications
To be the right candidate for this position, we expect you to have a relevant educational background and a demonstrated capability from an applicable role where you have gained 5+ years of professional experience as a solution- or technical architect for a complex, distributed production system, preferably from within the financial sector. If you have applicable experience with performance- and latency sensitive server applications as well as message bus architecture it will be seen as a great asset. We furthermore expect you to have expert knowledge of API development in .NET Core, with proven experience in working with OAUTH2/OpenID Connect, and working experience with Azure cloud technologies such as Load Balancer, Front Door, App Services, Service Bus, Blob Storage, SQL Server. Furthermore, you have good communication skills with the ability to coach less senior colleagues.
As a person you have a curious and analytical mindset and are motivated by facilitating and working with the different teams to reach a solution without necessarily being the one implementing it. We’re looking for someone who can keep a sharp overview and is experienced enough to produce good architecture and solutions, but at the same time are interested in navigating VSCode, Git, and Azure to write proof-of-concept applications and scripts when evaluating new patterns and technologies. As Banking Circle is an international company its a requirement, that you are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
The position will be based at Banking Circles Office in Copenhagen.
