Computerome, Denmark's National Life Science Supercomputing Center, is one of Scandinavia's largest HPC clusters dedicated to life science research. The cluster has 17PB of storage, over 31,000 cores, and nearly 4000 different life science applications. Designed to enable collaboration between researchers, healthcare professionals, and industry, Computerome can process sensitive health data in a highly secure and flexible environment.
The job
We are looking for an experienced frontend developer to help drive a large-scale and exciting new development project. We are working to create a single web portal for our suite of HPC, cloud, and user administration services. You will be responsible for leading the front-end development and be working with API frameworks. Our ambition is to create new ways for users to interact and use traditional supercomputing services.
You will join a rapidly growing and international development team, committed to delivering the best solutions to our 1500+ user community. As a member of the development team you will make an impact from day-one, being part of key decisions and contributing your experience and knowledge of front-end development.
Primary areas of responsibility

As a Frontend developer, you will play a key role in the development team which aims to expose new users to HPC functionalities. Your main tasks would include:
- Designing and creating great user experiences
- Creating and testing components for specific use cases
- Creating a library of reusable components
- Writing automated tests for components
Our expectations of you
You are expected to have experience with:
- JavaScript
- Frontend development framework, preferably Angular
- Sassy CSS
- CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap and Material design
- REST API frameworks
- Back-end fundamentals
- HTML/CSS
- Responsive design
- Testing and debugging
- Analytical Skills
It would be a plus to have experience or knowledge of:
- NodeJS
- Working with Open API 3.x
- Agile development (Scrum, etc.)
- Designing domain specific solutions
- User testing methodologies
- High-performance computing
You have:
- 5+ years experience in frontend/backend development
- Strong background in programming (a command of at least 5 different languages)
- A proven track record delivering large-scale projects
- Experience working in diverse and international teams
- The ability to navigate complexity and learn as you go along
- A disciplined and structured approach to your work
- QA and code optimization is second nature
- A constructive and positive mindset
