Kongens Lyngby
We are looking for 1-2 part-time assistant programmers to join our team and help carry out 3D scanning experiments and data processing of 3D images and programming related to image processing.
The job
You will be part of a team of researchers working with 3D Image analysis in collaboration with users from many different fields. A central part of the team’s activities lies in creating new tools using machine learning enabling better and faster analysis. To support this work we have initiated the QUAITOM project – The Infrastructure for QUantitative AI-based TOMography. The purpose of QUAITOM is to establish a data science infrastructure for AI-based quantitative analysis of X-ray and neutron tomography (μCT). By applying novel concepts, the power of machine learning will for the first time be made available for the very large and scientifically diverse user community within μCT imaging.
As part of the infrastructure QUAITOM, we are building a number of datasets to support the research fields of 3D μCT and machine learning. By providing benchmark data of high quality, that reflects the variability and complexity of typical μCT data, we will be able to get the machine learning community to work on solving problems relevant to μCT imaging community.
QUAITOM will be a research infrastructure in the form of a computational platform that will provide data to machine learning and provide machine learning-based analysis tools for image analysis.
As a part-time assistant programmer on the team, you will be part of the practical work with creating the datasets as well as the work with curating the data and setting up the platform. Dependent upon your skills you will also be involved in various parts of user collaborations.
