How to contribute
We are searching for a skilled and motivated Virtualization Specialist with a strong automation focus to join our IT Operations team, which is a vital part of our IT organization and consists of 10 dedicated and talented professionals. The team is responsible for all IT infrastructure within Terma, both from an operational level - evolution of existing infrastructure, to design and development of new infrastructure in coordination with stakeholders. This involves multiple datacenters, large scale networks for both IT and OT, Software Defined Access, unique security challenges within the defense industry and much more.

You have a relevant education, perhaps a degree within IT, Computer Science or similar plus some experience from a similar position. But most importantly you are passionate about technology and motivated by identifying and driving the correct solutions for Terma.
Experience working with some, but not necessarily all, of the following will be an advantage:

Some of your primary focus areas will be:
- Automation of IT infrastructure stack with focus on virtualization and Active Directory
- Support the maintenance of the VMware and upgrade security, functions, etc.
- Architecture and design of automation setup
- Assist with development and implementation of new virtualization cluster and AD solutions
- Help drive transformation and new ways of working
- Resolve potential operational incidents
- Working towards an Infrastructure-as-code setup
- Ensure the infrastructure is operating smoothly and minimize down time.
About you

- Large scale virtualization platforms, especially VMware vSphere
- Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
- Technical competences in Ansible or Microsoft Endpoint Manager
- Python programming knowledge
- Experience with databases (MSSQL, Postgres), networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
- Knowledge of system security (intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
