Are you our new colleague in the Research Bioanalysis department in Global Research Technologies? We are looking for an experienced, highly skilled and self-driven biomarker assay specialist who is passionate about immunoassays.

About the department

In Research Bioanalysis we develop immunoassays for measuring pharmaceutical compounds and relevant biomarkers in blood samples from animal studies of early discovery projects. We further develop biomarker assays for use in clinical trials. We currently primarily employ AlphaLISA (LOCI), ELISA, MSD and Gyrolab for immunoassay development. The department currently consists of 18 persons, including passionate and dedicated scientists and laboratory technicians with 5 different nationalities. The department is placed in a modern R&D facility in the greater Copenhagen area.

The position

You will be involved in coordination and development of biomarker immunoassays across our portfolio of discovery projects. You will collaborate with and coordinate your activities with laboratory technicians, associate and research scientists within the department. Further, you will have a close collaboration with our Translational Science unit and you will represent the department in cross-functional project teams where you will give input and recommendations to the project specific biomarker assay strategy.

Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced scientist, that is passionate and motivated by varied tasks in a busy but exciting and positive working environment. You hold a Postgraduate degree (PhD) and a postdoc, or have similar experience from the pharmaceutical industry in a scientific area related to biomarker assays. You have solid hands-on experience with both quantitative and qualitative immunoassay analysis methods in complex biological matrices. Further, you have extensive experience with analysis of endogenous proteins/biomarkers and an in-depth knowledge of development of assays for target engagement biomarkers. You must have a deep understanding of the concepts of measuring free and total endogenous biomarkers. Preferably, you have experience from research, non-clinical or clinical assay work within the area of cardiovascular diseases, NASH, diabetes and/or obesity. It is considered an advantage if you have experience with or knowledge about non-immunoassay biomarker assays.
