The position
We want to get faster to the market, so we are on an important journey to model our process while they are being developed. Your main responsibility is to analyse data and build advanced models to support decision making for current processes as well as new processes.
The primary task will be:
• To build advanced flow sheet models for capacity analysis
• Sparring with your colleagues on process optimization.
• Collaborating with various stakeholders throughout the entire value chain, stretching from R&D to Sales & Marketing and in the digital network at NNPR (Data scientist, Digitalisation partners, IT/OT specialist etc.).
• Generate and purpose optimisations across multiple production facilities.
• Building scalable dashboards solution for end-user using e.g., PowerBI or Tableau.
• Maintaining and iteratively improve existing data-driven solutions in a regulated environment.
You will be working in an environment driven by curiosity and scientific understanding.
Qualifications
• You hold a relevant B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree within the fields of chemical engineering, industrial engineering or similar with additional relevant programming/coding experience.
• Experience with equation/object-oriented programming. Experience in model building using InoSIM is considered as an advantage.
• Ability to translate complex information/data to varying audiences
• Domain knowledge in Process Systems Engineering
• Experience in modelling unit operations, e.g., column steps
• As we have students and interns experience guiding these is an advantage

You can communicate complex technical matters to a variety of stakeholders with different levels of technical expertise and experience. Also, you find it easy to evaluate issues and then develop solutions that are both creative and effective for our organization.

• Curious about the processes and people you work with, and have a burning desire to learn new things
• Able to demonstrate attention to detail and structured in your problem-solving approach
• You are a go-getter with a ‘can do’ attitude and see yourself as a fast learner with a solution and service-oriented mindset.
• Great interpersonal skills are a must since the job will include considerable interaction with stakeholders and specialists.
As we have international colleagues and stakeholders, from around the world, fluency in both spoken and written English and Danish is required.
About the department
We are 39 employees in the R&D department consisting of Project Managers. Principal Scientists, Scientists and Laboratory Technicians. You will become Data Engineer in the Manufacturing Development department which consists of 21 dedicated employees that develop and supply novel materials for manufacturing of therapeutic proteins in the biopharmaceutical industry. We work in close collaboration with our customers to develop optimal purification solutions for new and existing molecules used for the treatment of many different conditions. The atmosphere is relaxed, creative and characterised by our growth mindset.
