Due to an increasing demand of our innovative and intelligent system solutions we are looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our Strategic Sourcing team.
In the position as our new Strategic Sourcing Manager you will have direct reference to our Category Sourcing Manager & Team Lead and become a part of a team consisting of 5 colleagues who is on a continuous journey of improvement which will give you the opportunity to set the direction. Together the team is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies across all the categories for direct components in Kamstrup. In your team you will work closely with colleagues within Innovation, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement as well as with our external global suppliers.
Strategic Sourcing Manager with focus on direct category management
In the position as Strategic Sourcing Manager you will have the overall responsibility for suppliers and contracts, wherefore your primarily task is to plan and execute sourcing strategies that support our overall sourcing strategy. From a holistic point of view you will work with our long-term strategic plan and with a commercial mindset you will provide beneficial solutions.

Personality matters
We expect that you have a relevant commercial or technical education at minimum Bachelor degree e.g. within supply chain, business or engineering. In addition, it is a requirement that you:
As a person you are analytical and strategic thinking and like to take lead in complex processes and projects. You hold a strong personal drive, a ‘can-do attitude’ and good interpersonal skills that makes you strong in stakeholder management. Additionally, you are possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of numbers. Moreover, you are confident when navigating in a big organization and have the ability to successfully orchestrate sourcing related projects across multiple functions.
You are fluent in English and Danish both written and oral.

Strategic Sourcing Manager with focus on direct category management
In the position as Strategic Sourcing Manager you will have the overall responsibility for suppliers and contracts, wherefore your primarily task is to plan and execute sourcing strategies that support our overall sourcing strategy. From a holistic point of view you will work with our long-term strategic plan and with a commercial mindset you will provide beneficial solutions.
In addition your primary tasks are to:
- Execute and further develop Category Management within your categories
- Execute sourcing activities including price and contract negotiation
- Supplier Relationship Management related activities
- Ensure the right balance between risk and business impact to secure supply at the best commercial terms
- Identify and execute a savings pipeline together with your stakeholders
- Support product development and project sales with the right supplier portfolio
- Analyze and identify new supplier options
- Execute strong stakeholder management skills, externally as well as internally
In the job you should expect around 20-30 travel days a year.

We expect that you have a relevant commercial or technical education at minimum Bachelor degree e.g. within supply chain, business or engineering. In addition, it is a requirement that you:
- Have minimum 5 years of experience within direct category management from a large international organization or alternative as a consultant in a large international setting
- Have experience working in large manufacturing environments
- Great negotiation and networking skills and the ability to manage multiple suppliers and stakeholders
- Experience with direct materials and material specification in general
