Because of a highly increasing demand for our innovative solutions we are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our Purchasing team.
With a direct reference to our Purchasing Manager, you will be a part of our Purchasing team which currently consists of 8 colleagues. You will be a part of a team where challenging tasks, close daily sparring and an informal work environment and tone are key. The team handles purchases from suppliers in Denmark, the EU and Asia. We work towards a more efficient utilization of our stock and especially a better utilization of our suppliers’ logistics solutions. The flow of goods is paramount for our production and our possibilities of effectively catering to the needs of customers.
A job with focus on purchasing and development of logistics solutions
In the position as Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for to ensuring our cooperation with our suppliers through visualization of data in the form of reports, dashboards, analyses, and improvement activities primarily in Power BI. Furthermore, you will be responsible for optimising our systems and processes, including forecast systems and S&OP processes. Finally, you will be involved in the negotiation process for logistic agreements and participate actively in the contract negotiations of these.
More specifically, your tasks will include:
Personality matters
We are looking for a quality-conscious Procurement Specialist with a commercial understanding, experience, and a structured approach to contribute to Kamstrup’s continued success. You have a professional background on HD or Bachelor level within logistics, purchasing or similar. It is a requirement that you have at least 3 years of experience from a similar position, from which you have gained solid experience with purchasing processes and optimisation of these through data analysis. Furthermore, you have extensive knowledge of Excel and Power BI.
As a person you are outgoing, persistent and quality-conscious, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment. You are a team-player and are able to work and communicate with colleagues, suppliers and stakeholders on all levels. You are proactive, good at asking questions and hereby challenging our existing systems. Most importantly, you possess a strong business understanding have the ability to challenge existing structures through your analytic and data-driven approach. With your purchasing and logistic experience, it is natural for your to work in a structured and result-oriented way, and you have a ”can-do” attitude. You have a strong business gene and you are motivated and driven by creating positive results.
It is a requirement that you are fluent in English, both written and oral. Danish will be an asset.

- Presenting complicated data in a simple and manageable form and convert these in relation to the strategy for our suppliers
- Optimisation of purchasing processes as well as supplier- and category analyses
- Developing, fine-tuning and introducing new purchasing tools
- Communicating with suppliers about the logistical setup and improvements hereof
- Ensuring close dialogue between the rest of our Supply Chain organisation about daily challenges
- Maintaining master data
