The position

Working as an intern at Corporate Procurement will give you the opportunity to grow in a fantastic company. The internship will provide you with experience in project management, data analytics as well as the chance to work with suppliers and/or other functions in Novo Nordisk.

To deliver your tasks with support from dedicated experienced project managers and leaders, you will need to be able to manage your own time. You will be required to make fact-based decisions and present your conclusions clearly and concisely, therefore you should expect to work with software such as Excel, PowerPoint, SAP and Coupa.

Practicalities:

  • Internship period: 5-12 months
  • Working hours: Full- time (37 hours a week), we are flexible when necessary to allow for exams and similar
  • Start date: 1 February 2023
  • Internships are remunerated if your educational track allows
  • A Danish full-time work permit is required, as is a valid student status for the duration of the entire internship

Qualifications

You are currently enrolled in a Master's degree with at least one more year of study within Economics, International Business, Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or similar field.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working with large data sets and presenting your conclusions to key stakeholders
  • International mind-set, experience from studying abroad, 1-3 years of relevant work next to your studies and other relevant extracurricular activities
  • Organised and structured with ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Fluency in English, both in speech and in writing

Personally, you are self-motivated and take responsibility for your own performance and learning. You take leadership naturally and have high professional expectations for yourself and your colleagues.

About the department

We are 150 employees in Denmark and India, and globally more than 400 people work in procurement throughout the organisation. Procurement is Novo Nordisk’s centre of excellence for category strategies, supplier agreements and purchasing processes.

We negotiate contracts covering more than DKK 25 billion of Novo Nordisk’s spend. We also define and drive Novo Nordisk’s global procurement strategy, we set the global direction for best procurement practices, and we drive several digitalisation projects across global procurement.

From a sustainability standpoint, we work directly with suppliers to address environmental impact and drive change to reach our ambitious 2030 goal of relying on all supply to be 100% based on renewable energy.
