About the department

The department, MIT-MES, anchored in Manufacturing IT, is focused on implementing PAS-X - a Manufacturing Execution System (MES), used across Novo Nordisk. We set the strategic direction and ensure that processes across production lines are automated and optimised.

The team is primarily located in Bagsværd (Greater Copenhagen area), Denmark and work hand-in-hand with our Product Supply colleagues, meaning that you will get to work closely with the users and technologies that drive our global manufacturing processes to the next level. The team itself is very diverse both in terms of capabilities and background, with roles spanning from project managers, product owners, SCRUM masters, architects to hands-on MES analysts.

Overall, you will join the rapidly evolving and growing Manufacturing IT area, where over 800 employees are working across the globe to revolutionise IT across our production and supply chain domain in Novo Nordisk.

The position

As a Programme Manager, you will have a versatile role, where you are responsible for day-to-day operational management of the programme and the teams within the area and at the same time can be running 1-2 projects when and where needed.

Regardless, the overall product which you will be implementing is PAS-X (our chosen MES system in Novo Nordisk). Our aim is to improve the efficiency of all manufacturing-related processes globally. You will be in the centre of these transformation activities and be part of an organisation that is highly visible and critical to Novo Nordisk.

More specifically our next Programme manager will among many areas and tasks be responsible for the following:

  • 60-70% of your time: Manage day-to-day operations within the programme, including simple budget management, people allocations, solve impediments and act as deputy to the Deployment lead who has the overall strategic delivery responsibility for the area.
  • Define project/programme approach including organisation, scope, activities, budget and resource allocation.
  • Be the glue between your own agile organisation, development teams and the customer (typically a production site) and act as a trusted advisor and project/programme leader who can drive execution and see the holistic picture.
  • Stakeholder management and ensuring strong partnership with the production site.
  • Depending on occasion, lead one or two SCRUM teams.
  • Explain, visualise, and co-create implementation plans with confidence. In other words, be able to explain how your organisation plans to roll-out PAS-X for a production site.
  • Coordinate and keep track of programme roadmaps, and act on impediments and potential delays before they occur.

Qualifications

As a person you are friendly, ambitious, result driven, proactive and have an open and flexible attitude. You are known to get the job done and are open to adapt to changes around you. It is evident that you have a proven track record of delivering results and business value in your previous jobs.

To be successful in this role, we require the following:

  • Master’s or degree in Business, engineering, supply chain management or another relevant field
  • Interest in managing different tasks and activities that changes from day-to-day.
  • Pharma industry knowledge is a clear advantage
  • Experience with production/supply chain processes and/or GxP is also an advantage
  • Strong project and programme management skills (including stakeholder management skills, presentation skills, governance skills and communication skills)
  • Knowledge of MES (Manufacturing execution systems) a clear advantage, but not a requirement
