The Position As an IT Project Lead, you will be responsible for setting the direction of our BI tool, Azure Delta Lake, which empowers time travel functionality on both actual and planned data across our source systems and enables Machine Learning/ Artificial Intelligence models to be applied for decision making. Approaching 2000 end users at all levels in the global clinical development organization, our ambition is to create a single version of global data and advanced analytics to improve informed decision-making both for strategic leadership decisions as well as operational decisions taken by individual trial teams. You will play a key role in:
  • Enabling advanced analytics for strategic leadership and operational decision making
  • Ensuring that our business needs are met and transforming ideas into tangible global solutions
  • Overseeing the internal and external IT vendors responsible for maintaining and developing our system
  • Project management for various initiatives, guaranteeing their successful execution
  • This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our global clinical development organisation by creating transparency for informed decision-making. Qualifications To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have:
  • Master’s degree in business, science, or another relevant field
  • 8+ years’ experience in IT project management and/ or advanced business analytics to enable decision making
  • Proven track record driving and executing projects
  • Technical understanding of BI tools
  • Clinical development and/or pharma industry background is not a pre-requisite
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • As a person, you are structured, self-driven, ambitious, visionary, and a good communicator. You thrive in a dynamic, diverse, and changing environment. Additionally, excellent interpersonal skills are required to involve stakeholders in project execution. About the department You will be part of a Business Analysis function supporting the global clinical development organization. We are a global department of 14 dedicated professionals supporting and collaborating across the global clinical development organization. We have established a dedicated team focusing on Power BI development and advanced analytics. Clinical Drug Development is the Novo Nordisk area responsible for the global clinical research and project management of our clinical products in development. It is a complex environment with many clinical projects in our development portfolio. Transparency and in-depth analysis of global clinical performance, operational tracking, predictive models, capacity, and cost management is of high importance to us.
