Do you have a good understanding of the dynamics in the pharma industry, coupled with an innovative and curious nature? Do you have solid experience of product management using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies?If so, you could be our next Product Manager for the NextGen Safety programme in Novo Nordisk’s Development organisation!The Position As Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving, facilitating, and developing the roadmap and backlog within our agile Programme for replacing our existing system set-up for pharmacovigilance, with a new modern solution and associated changes in the business processes.
Your success criteria will be to ensure a strong foundation for developing integrated solutions by driving standardised, harmonised, and reliable end-to-end solutions that optimise processes across our value chain. To lead digital products with impact, collaboration is essential in this role, both with the line of business, product teams, and our IT organization.As our new Product Manager, you will set clear direction for the Programme and product teams containing around 70 people. You will be responsible for product vision, goal setting, roadmap, building, and prioritizing the overall program backlog. This is to be done in very close collaboration with the Release Train Engineer (RTE), the Solutions Architect and the lead Business Owner. On top of that, you will need to secure close alignment on priorities and dependencies across other digital programmes and Agile Release Trains within Development in Novo Nordisk.Main responsibilities include: Identifying and shaping the strategic focus for the NextGen Safety programme and product teamsAligning stakeholders to ensure an end-to-end thinking that optimises company value chain, correct inputs, and insightsEnsure delivery on upcoming releases by vendor and internal team in collaborationMove the programme towards becoming an ART, as the product is maturing through upcoming releasesBuilding a culture within the team, characterized by curiosity, passion, openness, and psychological safetyQualifications: To be successful in this role, you need the following:
  • Strong understanding of digital product development and the linkage between discovery, testing, and development
  • +5 years experience in Agile methodologies
  • Experienced in running larger programmes, with internal and external stakeholder management
  • University degree within Science, Engineering and/or Business
  • Proven creative informal leadership experience of driving changes in cross-functional, multi-cultural and cross-geographical environment
  • Experience working with Pharmacovigilance or related in the pharma domain is a plus
  • Be fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • On a personal level, you need to inspire passion and create a feeling of ownership for people you work with. You see the big picture, and are able to turn the strategic priorities into tangible direction for the product teams. You can set clear direction, prioritise, and communicate a compelling purpose and vision with passion and urgency on all levels of the organisation.About the department  The Digital Product and Project Office is part of the Submissions & Life Cycle Management (SubLCM) area in Novo Nordisk’s Development organisation and works closely with stakeholders across the global organisation. We are a team of approximately 15 skilled project and product managers with backgrounds from different industries, and/or consultancies. Together, we are responsible for agile product management and cross-organisational projects in the SubLCM organisation of approximately 1400 employees, as well as colleagues across the broader Novo Nordisk organisation – including affiliates around the world.Working at Novo Nordisk  At Novo Nordisk, we don’t wait for change.
