Then you might be Green Island Vecycle’s new Head of Technical Operations!

Green Island Vecycle is expanding rapidly as they intend to build more than 300 biogas plants in Canada and with plans to grow to other markets. For Green Island Vecycle to be successful in establishing the plants in Canada, we are looking for a Head of Technical Operations who can navigate between the field of engineering, while bringing the plants into proper operations in collaboration with local service teams.

You will be responsible for the operation of the biogas plants on a global level

As Head of Technical Operations, you will train, educate, plan, and supervise the local entities in operating the plants so that the service teams eventually can operate the plants themselves.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• supporting the expansion into other international markets
• securing trusted collaboration across different cultures and practices
  

Since there is a calibration period when establishing the plants, you will work in Canada for a minimum of 100 days during the first year.

You already have extensive experience in the biogas industry, and you may even have worked hands-on with operating process plants

You can come with a variety of backgrounds and perhaps you have a degree in biology, engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar.

We imagine that you:

• are interested in both the biological and mechanical processes
• have some management experience in relation to technical teams
• are a strong communicator and educator who is used to working with people at all levels
• are fluent in English both written and oral
• have cultural sensitivity in terms of being able to talk to people from many different cultural backgrounds
  

The plants are controlled by SCADA systems and experience with this is an advantage. Further, it is an advantage if you have knowledge of agriculture and development work.
