As Head of Accounting, you will become a part of the Finance leadership team and report directly to our Vice President Finance. You will lead a team of highly dedicated and passionate employees within Corporate Accounting, Shared service center (Order to Cash), Local Finance management and Specialty Finance incl. advanced Tax, Risk & Compliance. The team consists of ~30 employees including the subsidiaries.

Head of Group Accounting with lead our Finance function through significant international growth

As our new Head of Group Accounting you will have an important role in the further development and success of our Finance team in a high growth company. Together with your Accounting leadership team consisting of 5 senior profiles, you have the overall responsibility for driving the transformation into a global accounting function while delivering top quality and speed based on our overarching One Finance service approach. You will be responsible for setting the direction for the Accounting function and work closely together with the organization and the rest of the Finance function to set the standard for the next growth horizon.

More specific, you will be responsible for:

• Own process and execution of reconciliation for monthly and year-end closings
• Lead completion and improvements of annual/monthly reporting – both locally and for the entire group
• Preparing and reporting VAT and taxes for Danish and 20 subsidiaries
• Responsible for the audit across the entire group
• Ensuring quality control over financial/statutory reporting, including compliance with rules within tax and VAT
• Process optimization including automatization and improved use of data tools
• People leader for an Accounting leadership team consisting of 5 senior direct reports
• Coaching and development within the Accounting function

You can expect around 20-30 travel days per year.

Personality matters

You are an Accountant or have another relevant financial background within Economics, Finance or similar and minimum 8 years of experience from a similar position where you have had managerial responsibility of Accounting.

In addition, it is a requirement that you:

• Have experience working with international subsidiaries
• Have minimum 8 years of leadership experience and a passion for leadership and personal development
• Have excellent skills within Excel and other financial tools
• Have strong analytical skills and the ability to combine information from multiple sources

If you have experience from a manufacturing company, it will be considered an advantage.

As a person you have a high energy level, a strong sense of commitment and possess the ability to create network and communicate across the organization. You have an analytical and curious approach to your tasks, and you wish to make a difference by taking responsibility. Finally, you are respected for your personal and professional experience and your ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

In addition, it is a requirement that you master English and Danish on a high level – both orally and written.
