Do you want to be part of the strongest field test department in Europe? Would it motivate you to be able to set your footprint on Vestas’ strategy? We are looking for a Specialist to Prototype and Performance Testing, who is ambitious and want to create results through other people.
Industrialisation Test & Verification Prototype & Performance Testing
The Prototype & Performance Testing department is responsible for performance testing and verification of technologies, modules and full-scale products, validated in the field. We do that through planning, executing and reporting of test campaigns, and we work together with a wide range of stakeholders inside and outside Vestas. The power performance and loads test as well as other performance disciplines plays a central role in deliveries on Vestas product roadmap.
Furthermore, the department is responsible for specifying and building up new test capabilities to continually ensure that Vestas products have the highest quality in the wind market.

This position requires approximately 10-20 days of travel primarily within Denmark.

Industrialisation Test & Verification Prototype & Performance Testing
The Prototype & Performance Testing department is responsible for performance testing and verification of technologies, modules and full-scale products, validated in the field. Responsibilities
- Ensure and develop the test strategies with P&PT management
- Plan, develop, drive and challenge the verification of prototype turbines and technologies
- Drive and lead the test and verification activities within the power performance and loads test area
- Ensure cooperation with the design line, product management and project management
- Be a strong contributor in continuous improvement and technology road map initiatives
- Lead specification of new and existing test setups to improve performance
- Handling quality and deliverables from sub suppliers, typically test institutes
Qualifications
- Master’s degree within wind, structural or mechanical engineering
- Several years of experience within the power performance or loads test area
- Experience in technical leadership
- Strong insight into DS/EN 61400-12 and DS/EN 61400-13 and wind turbine certification processes
- Knowledge and experience within model validation, uncertainty estimation and measurement systems
- Experience with Matlab and data analysis
- Potential to lead other performance areas e.g. grid, EMC and noise will be an advantage
