Platform Management is part of our Technical Management organisation in Technology. Currently there are 16 employees in total located at our headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark and in Warrington, UK.
Tasks & responsibilities: You will…..
...head the Platform Management department and lead the further development of the established technical support setup towards our Construction and Service organisations ensuring a smooth trouble shooting and highly qualified solutions.You will maintain and continuing develop Platform Management as a competence centre for technical problem solving both 4MW and 9 MW platforms within software, electrical and Mechanical disciplines. You are responsible for condition monitoring activities and providing in depth understanding of the main components reliability in order to minimize cost impact It will also be your responsibility to ensure execution of test and verification activities related to improvements (IC’s) and new product development – both at prototype turbine and turbines in operation.
As Head of Platform Management you will proactively interact and collaborate with many different stakeholders across MHI Vestas and in Vestas.
Your responsibilities and tasks:
Manage, develop and motivate the department Supporting future aftersales Create and deploy strategy for technical support setup in APAC region and later other future markets Ensure, that Platform Management is providing technical and strategic support within contractual aspects towards Customer Management and Legal. Develop and implement department game plan Monitor and execute department KPIs Ensure reliable execution of the departments tasks to meet the agreed deadlines
You will report to the Head of Technical Management and participate in the ongoing development of Technical Management and be part of the Management team.

has experience leading a department through team leads and technical specialists within various technical disciplines from a larger organisation in a cross functional role. Knowledge and experience from the wind industry is an advantage as well as insight and experience within technical monitoring of equipment in operation. To succeed in this position, you must have strong stakeholder management skills combined with an emphatic and delegating leadership style.
We expect that you:
As a minimum hold a Bachelor’s degree within electrical or mechanical engineering Good communication skills also in English Have the ability to structure and organise a large amount of tasks from various stakeholders Have a constant and strong focus on improving business processes as well as collaboration with other functions A management education is preferred
