Vestas has significant ambitions on growing this business segment over the years to come via further digitalisation of the sales processes in our industry and offering new ways of selling and buying.

Global Procurement is overall responsible for all supply chain management activities within Vestas, including supervising cross-functional category teams, cost out initiatives, category strategy development and implementation, quality and delivery performance, supplier relationship management and supplier account management.

Responsibilities
Vestas Service is constantly seeking new innovative solutions to increase our value to our customers. Join us on an ambitious journey to expand our assortment and offerings to customers by bringing Vestas to a closer collaboration with our sellers (suppliers) on our digital platforms. The Supplier Account Manager will be responsible for kicking off and maintaining the close collaboration with these parties and ensure that they and Vestas extract the most from these partnerships. Besides, your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Market segmentation and screening, negotiation and contracting of sellers to the eCommerce and digital procurement platform
  • Educating sellers in the value proposition of the channel
  • Negotiation cycle from signing a non-disclosure agreement to closure, contract signature and customer/buyer segmentation
  • Ensure partnerships becomes a success with a mutual business benefit for Vestas and sellers
  • Handle and continuously develop seller relationships and build loyalty
  • Ensure our sellers are materialising the promised value proposition and is performing according to commitments
  • Support and implement global as well as regional seller account strategies
  • Secure sellers’ adherence to Vestas standards regarding safety, quality and business ethics
  • Take ownership of seller relationships and ensure that new business models introduced are matching our terms or adapted if needed.

Qualifications
On a professional level, we expect you to have the following qualifications:

  • Relevant university degree, combined with 5+ years of experience in supplier account management
  • Proficient negotiator and a convincing communicator
  • Able to work in a global matrix organisation and optimise processes across units. You excel by building effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Solid experience with B2B purchasing processes, sourcing strategies and knowledge of digital procurement platform models
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office tools and ERP systems
  • Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing

Additional information
Your primary work location is Aarhus, Denmark.

Approximately 25 days of travelling per year is to be expected.
