Manufacturing and Global Procurement Global Procurement Controls & Infrastructure
Vestas Global Procurement is responsible for all procurement activities within Vestas, including supervising cross-functional category teams, negotiations and contract management, development of end-2-end cost out initiatives, category strategy development and supplier relationship management.
This position is related to functionally coordinating the Software Application & Electronics team which consists of seven employees in Denmark, India and China.

You will join a motivated team in a high-profile position with a very high level of strategic exposure within Vestas. Your everyday activities will be characterised by a very high tempo and requirement to engage in, organize and prioritize between multiple different critical projects. Qualifications
The right candidate has a degree in either Supply Chain Management, Finance/Accounting, Sales/Marketing, Engineering and holds minimum 5 years of work experience within Strategic Purchasing. As a Purchasing Manager you are expected to show a good example and improve the organization in our ways of working.
Competencies

Responsibilities

Overall expected deliverables include:
- Continue developing the long term strategic direction and vision for your area – including procurement and technology activities
- Provide clear leadership and support personal and professional development for the purchasers in the team
- Build a close relationship with the suppliers in the category and continue delivering value through long term supplier account management
- Become a part of the Electrical extended management team, where you together with your Purchasing Manager colleagues, will contribute to the organizational development of the full global department
- Building a solid network within Vestas, including close engagement in the Software Application & Electronics module with colleagues from Technology, Production, Service and Quality. Further, provide progressive stakeholder management, including executive management level stakeholders
Qualifications
The right candidate has a degree in either Supply Chain Management, Finance/Accounting, Sales/Marketing, Engineering and holds minimum 5 years of work experience within Strategic Purchasing. As a Purchasing Manager you are expected to show a good example and improve the organization in our ways of working.
- Experience with handling a team with large yearly procurement budgets
- Proven record of solid stakeholder management skills incl. experience with communication. As the category has high attention among senior management, world-class stakeholder management skills are required.
- Great communication skills including fluent English skills
- Experience with electrical components would be a benefit
