Automation Pilots Project Manager

We are now looking for a Automation Project Manager to join our Yard Cranes Product Management team is responsible for SC, RTG and RMG automation pilot projects. As our Pilot Project Manager you will play a pivotal role role in ensuring the success of our automation products, overseeing budget management, maintaining critical stakeholder relationships, and managing a team of deployment engineers. This role combines extensive technical expertise with a profound sense of personal ownership and includes accountability for developing and maintaining the Project Management Plan (PMP).

You’ll be part of the Yard Cranes team and responsible for successful deployment of the product pilots. You will ensure the pilot success, budget and relationship management using technical knowledge and strong sense of personal ownership. Together with the product manager and product leads, you will further develop, define and implement new features to the automation product(s) to ensure smooth solution roll-outs in selected terminals across the globe.

What you'll be doing:

  • Oversee project planning, execution and monitoring to ensure that project objectives are met within scope, schedule and budget
  • Practice Product deployment approach and plan across one or multiple terminals, including assurance of product integrity, including securing all due approvals
  • Ensure due compliance, safety and other relevant regulations to be adhered to during the deployment
  • Maximize and continuously improve the level of consistency between product deployments across multiple terminals.
  • Continuously ensure the deployment fulfils all site-specific needs as defined in consultation with the Terminal team within the product blueprint for site deployment
  • Develop and maintain the project management plan for automation projects, outline project scope, objectives, schedules, resource allocation, risk management and other management details

We are looking for:

  • Professional expertise and deep knowledge in the context of automation. Experience in port automation / modernization preferable.
  • Technical / Engineering background combined with solid Project Management experience and skills.
  • Passion and highly interest in autonomous transport solutions and technology

  • Solid awareness of and intuition for industrial production and related processes
  • High familiarity and proven proficiency of delivering results within project/product deployment environment
  • Methodological knowhow to lead iterative design, development and testing cycles from end-to-end throughout the deployment
  • Strong stakeholder management & communication skills – ability to establish long-term successful relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • High English proficiency
  • Continuous focus to drive change management as key enabler for stakeholder buy-in and successful deployment outcomes
  • Fluent in English – writing and speaking

Travel flexibility to spend significant amount of the time on-site, primarily in Aarhus, Denmark but also other projects globally. Expected travel is in the range of 30%.
