What is the job about?


In Grundfos we have recently selected one global MES solution and we have just now started rolling this out across our global production setup. As the Program Manager you will take on the exciting and strategic challenge of leading the program to make this a success. This means managing a large span of internal and external stakeholders and communication effectively to all levels of the organization. Also, you’ll be leading a small very self-driven agile team of 4 people, from where the plans and solutions are scoped and executed. You will be in close co-operation with the product owner/lead specialist, who oversees the technical part of the roll-out. Your role will be to run the process and the people. Together you will set the strategic and the technical direction and constitute the leadership of the agile time.

This MES program is one of the most significant change management projects in the history of Grundfos, which will require skills and personality within this position.

MES system experience and great communication skills


You will be collaborating with all levels of the organization, so you will need excellent communication skills and the ability to involve and motivate the people you meet. In fact, this ability to communicate and listen is what will enable you to drive the program successfully. Further your responsibilities will be:

Program Management, facilitating the roadmap process to ensure involvement from across the Production Units as well as ensuring the continuous development of the platform.

Communication, building a global network, prepare and facilitate steering group meetings and ensure aligning with internal and external stakeholders

Project Management, managing the scoping of implementations and development projects and controlling the cost and ensuring the resources.

People Management, take report from the agile team members (excluding the product owner/lead specialist) and ensure the well-being and execution of the people related tasks

Digital Development & Innovation Leadership team, take part of the Leadership team, responsible for setting the direction across multiple foundational program and strategic important areas

Building a network communicate the data journey and strategy to all levels of the organization and drive the AME (Advanced Manufacturing Engineering) data community

Your qualifications


  • You hold a master’s degree in engineering, business solutions, IT or similar
  • You have 5+ years of experience with manufacturing operations and the processes and dependencies surrounding a MES system or similar
  • You have good business acumen and are excellent at interacting with stakeholders from different cultures and organizational levels
  • You are outgoing and a great communicator who knows how to maneuver and build relations in a global environment
  • You communicate effectively and effortlessly in English
  • Have experience with change management
  • Experience in Agile project management
  • Persistent with a focus on execution speed
  • Able to take a holistic approach but can also go into detail when necessary
