Are you driven by achieving business impact based on analytics? Do you strive to take ownership of controlling tasks and take the lead in the team? Then you could become Silvan's new Head of Controlling.
The controlling department is of essential relevance to provide data insights for steering Silvan through the next growth phase. Therefore, we are looking for a hands-on and pragmatic Head of Controlling to take the lead of the team. The tasks will include supporting the development of our BI setup, conducting analysis, and taking an active role in developing automatically updated reports, which support our overall business and digital transformation. Therefore, the position requires experience with extracting data from ERP-systems (Power Query, SQL, etc.). Furthermore, you will manage the team of two business controllers and act as a finance business partner for all business functions in the organization, including the top management.
To succeed in this role, a very strong analytical and data-driven approach will be essential, combined with leadership expertise and drive to deliver results in a fast paced environment.

Main responsibilities
- Take the lead on optimizing the current data management and BI set-up and execute derived measures.
- Leading the team and assigning the right tasks and supporting the development of two Controlling team members.
- Perform analyses needed to support selected departments as a finance business partner.
- Update and optimize financial and operational reports.
- Oversee our forecasting and budget processes.
- Ensure overall alignment and flow of activities.
- Advise on strategic optimization measures for the Controlling department.
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics with grades within 20% of class.
- 5-6 years of work experience in a Controlling department.
- Previous experience at a big accounting firm within auditing and/or advisory or experience with private equity owned businesses is a plus.
- Solid experience with extracting data from ERP-systems (SQL or other coding), ideally paired. with working experience with the BI-tool Targit.
- Experience with using Power Query, PowerPivot, VBA, etc.
- Excellent analytical skills combined with good presentation and communication skills.
- Ready to take on or develop your leadership skills.
