Lupa is a new and exciting bistro brought to you by the Restaurant ARK team – on the top 12 list of Best New Restaurants in the World https://www.cntraveler.com/story/best-new-restaurants-in-the-world
Focusing on vegetable and seasonal driven cuisine set in a contemporary environment with professional and friendly service. The restaurant has been thoughtfully restored and renovated to reflect our ongoing mission as a restaurant group, heavily focused around sustainable materials and environmentally friendly practices.
The Restaurant has an inside capacity of 55 covers, which expands in summer to 110 covers with the addition of the outside terrace.
We are currently looking for motivated chefs to join our small professional team. An experienced Jr. Sous Chef or Sous Chef level is required for this position. You will have the opportunity to work all sections of the kitchen, while looking after day-to-day operations and keeping team motivation high. There is the opportunity to learn and advance within the company.
To be considered for this opportunity you must have:
• Experience with ordering, stock control and rotation.
• Experience expediting a busy service.
• Passion for cooking, respect for ingredients and desire to produce quality food.
• Initiative with an enthusiastic attitude.
• Previous experience in a professional kitchen. Fine Dining is desired.
• Culinary school degree is in favor but not a must.
• Excellent communication skills. Innovative and open mindset.
• Respect for your team members.
If you are an experienced Jr. Sous Chef or Sous Chef looking to take the next step in your career, this is a great opportunity to progress in a new and exciting restaurant. We are also accepting applications for Jr Sous Chefs and Chef de Parties with previous experience – please make a note in your application.
The position/s will start as soon as possible and there will be a training period that takes place at Restaurant ARK with the Executive Chef.
The position includes weekend and evening shifts.
