Summary:

We want to strengthen our People Team with the Head of HR Shared Service Operations at Scandinavian Tobacco Group. Your primary focus will be to standardise the people service ways of working, deliver great employee experiences while partnering with the Global Process Lead and utilising SAP. You will join a diverse and international team in an inclusive working environment providing a great opportunity to grow within the role and as a person.

You will report directly to the VP Head of Global People Services and lead a team of up to 10 people. You’ll be primarily based in Copenhagen but occasional travelling to other countries as well.

What you can expect in, as our Head of HR Shared Service Operations:

  • Your responsibilities include day-to-day leadership of the People Shared Services team in Europe, including the prioritization, scoping, planning and delivery of global and local projects.

  • You are responsible for delivering global employee lifecycle processes and activities and securing the continuous satisfaction of STG employees and managers with the People Shared services provided.

  • You will be asked to continuously identify opportunities to create operational excellence and ultimately implement any required changes.

  • You are responsible for moving organisational culture and practices towards "self-service"

  • You will be accountable for compliance and master data quality in your area of responsibility

  • You will be consulted on a range of People Shared Services topics including service delivery, technology, data maintenance, data quality, technology and people processes.

  • You identify knowledge gaps in People Shared Services in Europe, building individual action/development plans


Your areas of knowledge and expertise (that matter the most for this role):

  • People Management experience from leading an international team or are keen to develop your people skills

  • People Shared Services experience (HR Operations, HR Shared Services) from a global enterprise

  • You prioritize value creation and always seek solutions with a clear long-term benefit that will make life as a manager or employee at STG easier

  • You understand how to enable a smooth and value adding service provision through technology

  • You have a profound understanding of employee lifecycle processes combined with a strong business process understanding

  • You hold professional experience in employee relations (labour relations) in order to provide guidance to the business regarding grievances, compliance, labour law, etc. (Danish Labour law)

  • You have worked with various cloud-based platforms earlier in your career such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle or similar and you have a solid understanding of an HRIS (business processes, roles, security, master data, reporting, configuration, etc.)

  • International mindset and experience from working with people across different countries and cultures in a global organization

  • Project management experience is an asset

  • Structured approach, with the ability to balance and prioritize between several topics at the same time

  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Willingness to embrace new People technologies and changing processes

  • High attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently, in a time sensitive setting with frequent deadlines

  • Ability to handle confidential information, professionally and appropriately

  • Highly professional manner, with the ability to interact with employees of all levels of experience and seniority, across the organization
