In the Data Strategy & Governance team, we drive the formulation of DSV’s Data strategy and governance. This is done in close cooperation with our executive management, business and group functions. The culture in DSV calls for a hands-on approach with a high focus on impact and implementation, so the design and scalability of our concepts is key.

In addition to our work with Data Strategy and Governance, the team also have the ownership of supportive tools and systems such as Data Catalogue. The Data Strategy & Governance team will entail work with assignments for this area as well.
About the role
As senior business change manger you’ll have a hands-on approach to governance and data management. Leading by example, you will be driving the change for an even more data-driven culture in DSV. The key focus is to support the formulation of governance and drive the implementation of data management activities with business and group functions. We are at the beginning of our journey; therefore, you will take part of facilitating a data assessment with key stakeholders.

Expectations
Based on experience with data management, analysis, architecture or engineering you possess ability to understand and communicate the value of data management. You understand how data is born, where it lives and how it gets transferred between systems. You frame possible initiatives from a data perspective, align on complications, pose key question, and see the answers. You have a well-versed toolbox within governance and data management, a flair for numbers, and enjoy understanding data in substance. You have a humble approach that helps to navigate seamlessly at different levels of the organization.

About the role

Among other things, you will to:
- Support the formulation of a global governance and data management strategy
- Facilitate a global data assessment with key stakeholders – focusing on data quality initiatives
- Drive the implementation of data management activities
- Support data owners developing roadmaps and formulate priorities within their domain
- Follow-up on key quality initiatives and prepare reporting for executive management
- Engage with key stakeholders across DSV – especially in IT
- Develop and promote a global toolbox and templates within governance and data management

Also, we imagine that you have:
- A relevant business school master’s degree, e.g. economics, data engineering or information management
- Experience with data discipline such as data management, data modelling, data lineage, data analysis, quality management etc.
- Preferably you have the knowledge of supporting tools such as Data Catalogue
- Experience from a data governance office or transport and logistics is a plus
- An organized and thorough approach to your work
- Strong communication skills, experience with change management and stakeholder management
- The ability to navigate seamlessly from detailed data analysis to a more high-level perspective
- Written and oral English proficiency
