The role

As Director Group Ethics & Compliance, you lead the function and are responsible for strategically and operationally developing and leading Boliden’s work with issues relating to business ethics and compliance. Main focus will be on anti-corruption, antitrust, money laundering, sanctions, support in risk assessment of business partners and other related areas within E&C such as the code of conduct and the whistleblower process. You will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of compliance with regulations and industry standards.

As the Group Ethics & Compliance function was formed relatively recently, you will have the opportunity to further develop and shape Boliden’s work in these areas and thus contribute to continued success and growth. The position is located in Stockholm and reports directly to Senior Vice President Corporate Responsibility, who is a member of Boliden’s Group Management.

Examples of tasks

Provide expertise, advise and training in E&C focus areas
Identify and evaluate risks related to E&C
Monitor the development of rules and regulations within E&C focus areas
Communicate related topics in a clear way to stakeholders internally and externally
Lead and facilitate the implementation of risk-based programs for compliance with E&C
Participate in internal E&C related investigations and action programs
Inform and report to committees, management and board within E&C
In collaboration with other functions, initiate and carry out internal quality audits
Manage and coordinate contacts with relevant supervisory authorities or other authorities within E&C focus areas
Work in close collaboration with Boliden’s other Group functions as well as business areas and units

Who are you?

You should have an academic degree in law, economics or similar and at least 5 years of experience from the E&C area in a leading role. We believe that you have experience from a business similar Boliden’s, industrial production in a geographically dispersed organization. Some form of in-depth training in compliance is an advantage. You express yourself well both orally and in writing in English and Swedish. If you understand and can communicate in Finnish we see this an extra plus.
