The fleet services team you will manage consist of 8 employees and is part of DSV Equipment, the department that hires out different types of trailers and containers to other DSV departments across Europe. DSV Equipment head office is in Belgium and has decentralised equipment centres around Europe.

Manage and control daily operations

Specifically, you:

  • Monitor the total DSV Equipment trailer fleet
  • Ensure the trailer and equipment utilization are as high as possible and adjusting the fleet to match the requirement
  • Make sure trailers get in our DSV workshops for annual inspections and return into operations

  • Monitor trailers that needs to be redelivered at the end of contracts
  • Build and maintain close relationships with our customers and understand their needs
  • Conduct negotiations with various external parties; suppliers, trailer tenders, and other (new) customers

  • Establish SLAs and SOPs with suppliers for the rent and lease of trailers
  • Set-up and monitor KPI reports and ensure that KPIs are met

  • Are willing to learn the business, therefore you familiarize with the duties in the operations business area; participates in the operations team and support them in daily tasks


Passionate and performance-driven

As some of your key challenges will be long-distance management and being aware of intercultural differences, it is essential that you have the energy, drive and courage to manage different types of employees. What is more, is that we value your attitude, passion and interest in the transport industry and trailer market much higher than the contents of your exam papers.

  • You have 5+ years of professional experience in transport and logistic within equipment control, forwarding or haulage
  • You possess a solid understanding of transport and trailer market
  • You have a sound business acumen
  • Are customer Service minded
  • You communicate and negotiate effortlessly written and verbally in English
