We are continuing to drive an aggressive and complex change and transformation programme in order to deliver a service of excellence for our customers and clients worldwide. Our technology transformation will underpin the business strategy to ensure that we continue to be the unrivalled customer partner for shipping and container logistics globally.
As Maersk continues to develop into a global integrator of container logistics, the technology organisation transforms from a supporting role into a key driver. The head of Strategic Brands IT will take on the responsibility for the strategic brands including Maersk Training, Maersk Growth, Maersk Line Limited, Maersk Container Industry and Maersk Oil Trading.
The Head of Strategic Brands will have overall accountability for these brands IT operations, drive projects and programmes and execute the digital journey, acting as a trusted partner to the broader group. You`ll be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and demonstrating the full value of IT capabilities.
You will act as an individual contributor with a significant matrix management agenda, drawing upon resource from the Maersk Technology functions.
You will be expected to continue the journey of transformation as we wish to become a much more agile and lean operator, driving down costs, improving internal efficiencies and delivering a service of excellence for their customer base

Drive transformation in the organisation, bring clarity around the Technology strategy and its implications for the organisation and ways of working between the strategic brands and the wider global Maersk technology organisation. Own the creation of the IT change agenda and future digital journey.
Understand the businesses and the function, create an overview and communicate challenges and opportunities to the leadership team and other key stakeholders. Provide financial visibility of IT spend.
Ensure successful IT delivery in a matrix organisation. Deliver on projects and maintain a flexible and agile delivery model. Take responsibility and end to end accountability for all aspects of IT including acting as a supportive voice to the business and always being on hand as an escalation point for operational and delivery issues. Act in a strategic capacity, but also be willing to get ‘hands dirty’ whenever necessary.
Ensure that the ‘house is in order’, with stable and effective IT operations and well-defined processes for project delivery
Degree educated or similar. Post-graduation qualification desirable.
• Previous experience of IT transformations across a complex, multi-territory organisation.
• IT operations, IT Change Delivery and Portfolio Management experience
• Previous experience in managing and maintaining relationships at Board level. Excellent stakeholder management skills• Experience from international environments and large multi-national companies
• An understanding of industrial technology landscapes, and an ability to leverage automated technologies to drive business advancement, internal and external customer satisfaction.
• The ability to think outside of the box and what new technologies can bring change and business growth. The ability to be at the forefront of industry thinking will be essential.
• Able to communicate and promote a vision to a diverse range of people, both technical and non-technical, and at a variety of levels.
•Able to drive and shape ideas in a changing, sometimes ambiguous environment and remain resilient in the face of adversity.
• Demonstrate strong people skills, outstanding communication and ability to influence without direct control. Being comfortable operating in a matrix environment will be key.
• Naturally personable and affable day by day, highly resilient and robust.
• A high degree of personal integrity. Ability to lift the bar and energize people around you, while maintaining a strong personal drive and the ability to get things done

We are looking for
