Retail is our largest industry vertical with big potential to drive integrated solutions across the global customer base requiring significant amount or coordination and collaboration across functions in Maersk to build unique value proposition and experience for customers.
The Global Vertical Excellence Manager is responsible to drive collaboration with other functions, regions, and areas for the specific vertical to expand vertical strategy adoption and industry expertise and representation. Ownership and continuous development of the Retail representation on Seismic (within Salesforce) sales enablement platform connecting the value propositions, as well as industry trends and expertise to support sales pursuits across the vertical.

You will be responsible for increasing vertical representation and connection into area by collaborating with various function (e.g. Products, Customer insights, area vertical heads, etc.) in alignment with vertical strategy roll out.
This includes but not only:
• Support the Strategic Development of the Vertical: Drive global Vertical Roadmaps development; Coordinate sub-vertical developments & exchange; Coordinate strategic alignment with Product Management including target accounts, alignment on strategic opportunities, identification of growth potential and focus
• Contribute to customer meetings as well as customer peer sharing sessions like customer round tables, panes in conferences etc.
• Management of the Vertical Excellence activities: Build up industry-specific market knowledge and expertise; Own Sales Enablement content for Retail globally; Coordinate & monitor reporting activities in collaboration with Finance and Areas
The ideal candidate will have 10 years + from within Third Party Logistics industry preferably in a client facing or product design role.
You have strong knowledge of Logistics process and solution design outlines, ideally in Retail context.
You have a proven track record in a matrix, multi cultural organisation, building strong relationships and networks both locally and internationally.
Furthermore you are:
• A consummate communicator and presenter
• A self starter and willing to think outside of the box and connect the dots across different products and services
Retail experience would be a big plus.
