An exciting opportunity where you will be responsible for providing governance and insight on Material master data management by recording business rules, maintaining data standards & quality thresholds for Ocean & Logistics (OnL).

You will have the opportunity to works very closely with the key stakeholders across products & platform to ensure a standard Material & Charge code across OnL with accurate mapping to product P&L.

The Data Manager is a master data partner to Operations, Finance, BPO, Product & FBP teams.

Key responsibilities


Reporting to the Material Master data Owner you will assist in designing, developing, implementing & monitoring material master data.

Other key tasks:

o Implement & driver material data governance across processes / products
o Review “as is” material master processes and suggest best practices, linkage between buy & sell material codes
o Responsible for implementation and execution of Data Governance & usage of standard approved material codes
o Control & improve data quality via regular checks / BI reporting
o Perform root cause analysis to understand issues on incorrect usage and take action to prevent re-occurrence
o Training & updating area champions on new codes and support in change management
o Material master data maintenance for key systems ( i.e. addition of new material codes, amendment of existing codes, perform duplicate checks & deactivation)
o Coordinate with OnL process / product owners, CX, finance & tax teams to have alignment on existing & new material codes
o Partner with Tax & BI team to have correct mapping of material codes in product P&L
o Work with NFTP team to review, design & implement MDG/M as standard platform for Material management & data migration from legacy to S4
o Active participation in new & upcoming platforms design with focus on Material master
o Implementation of upstream process improvements in line with the Standards and Controls
o Act as Material data partner to CX, finance, BPOs, FBPs and establish engagement framework to drive data governance
o Align with sales & procurement teams to have material code mapping at rate level.

We are looking for


The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master’s degree combined with exposure to SAP master like customer, vendor or Material or other ERP master data knowledge.

It will be great benefit if you have experience in SAP FICO with leading/collaborating with team based globally.

You have good understanding of Data Quality Dimension with hands on experience in driving data quality measurement and improving.

Furthermore you:
• Have previous experience in Master data management & governance
• Have problem solving, macro-level research and analytics approach and good in numbers
• Have financial and business acumen - understanding business/process impact on financial results
• Are able to build strong business relationships and effectively communicate across functions
• Have strong communication and Good skills in data administration, design, and architecture
• Have hands on experience in Data Analysis models that will help explore, analyze and remediate data quality issues.
• Have good analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Are result- driven with ability to adapt to a dynamic environment of targets, priorities & go live
