As part of the core product team, the Senior Business Product Manager is responsible for:

  • Build the product and launch incremental product features according to the requirements gathered from internal and external stakeholders including the product vision, ideating new products and features
  • Prioritize deliverables to deliver in line with strategic product vision and Maersk’s integrator strategy
  • Ensure that product functions as envisioned, delivers on its objectives and develops in line and ahead of market demands
  • Prepare customer journeys, epics, required documentation including product roadmap

Key responsibilities:

  • Contribute to and execute on the global product vision and strategy
  • Deliver product growth strategy in line with business case including collaboration, engagement, and performance management to drive results through relevant parties including areas and regions
  • Engaging with Marketing, Sales, Industry sources or other required parties to understand customer needs and pain points both broadly and more detailed for the specific scope of the product role and where necessary commission customer insight work contributing to product ideation, value proposition development and product development roadmaps
  • Ensure that the customer requests are translated into a functioning product, from conceptualization to execution including documentation of customer journeys, epics, features in alignment with internal requirements
  • Ensuring frequent feedback loops with customers to make sure products under development have a customer and market fit
  • Collect requirements from within the organization and continuously take charge of prioritizing them, maintaining the product roadmap
  • Ensure product priorities, roadmap, value proposition is effectively communicated to all relevant stakeholders to support delivery of the business case
  • Closely collaborate with function product owners, platform product owners, engineers, and other relevant colleagues to ensure requirements are met and delivered
  • Closely collaborate with other existing product teams to leverage existing set ups
  • Drive and own product testing activities
  • Work collaboratively across the product and platform organizations to advocate product management best practices and establish Maersk as a world class reference in product management.

Who we are looking for:

The ideal candidate will have strong and current knowledge of technology platforms, and ability to quickly adapt to new software preferably combined with supply chain/logistics experience.

You have the ability to identify customer needs and pain points using qualitative and quantitative data and demonstrates a combination of customer-oriented business acumen with effective technology knowledge, leveraging agile methods in approach and practices.

Furthermore, you:

  • Have the ability to drive incremental product development across a team of diverse stakeholders to deliver world class capabilities, features, and products
  • Have the ability to balance multiple priorities including development and maintenance
  • Have leadership experience within complex time critical projects
  • Creation and convincing articulation of business cases
  • Have the ability to drive accountability and performance management to deliver on business case via areas and regions
  • Have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to co-ordinate and drive results globally across teams, facilitate workshops.
  • Are a well organized and self-directed individual who is a team player with a collaborative mindset
  • Are self-motivated, and can complete tasks without supervision and who can evaluate and manage risks appropriately
  • Have strong people management and leadership skills as well as ability to collaborate and influence others, including suppliers
  • Have the ability to train and support training as well as testing of new solutions

As a person you are a resilient team player who is goal-orientated and demonstrates a high level of commitment with the ability to work under minimal supervision.

You are comfortable in a scale up environment where product development is incremental, and focus is scaling.

You are also comfortable with ambiguity and confidence to seek knowledge from stakeholders across a broad international organization.

You are pragmatic and solution oriented, able to think innovatively to solve problems – and have flair for a process-oriented approach to work and ability to deliver quality outputs.

Excellent Written and Verbal skills with people at all levels across the organisation in English.
