We Offer
An exciting opportunity where you will be responsible for providing governance and insight on Material master data management by recording business rules, mapping materials to our product offerings, and maintaining data standards for Ocean & Logistics business (OnL).
You will have the opportunity to work very closely with the key stakeholders across products & platforms to ensure a standard Material & Charge code across OnL with accurate mapping to product P&L.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Material Master data Owner you will be responsible for partnering with Product BPOs in mapping the materials & charge codes to product components & features, designing business rules, and maintaining the material master data as per defined governance.
Other key tasks:
- Implement & driver material data governance across processes/products
- Review “as is” material master processes and suggest best practices, the linkage between buy & sell material codes
- Responsible for implementation and execution of Data Governance & usage of standard approved material codes
- Control & improve data quality via regular checks / BI reporting
- Perform root cause analysis to understand issues on incorrect usage and take action to prevent re-occurrence
- Training & updating area champions on new codes and support in change management
- Material master data maintenance for key systems ( i.e. addition of new material codes, amendment of existing codes, perform duplicate checks & deactivation)
- Coordinate with OnL process/product owners, CX, finance & tax teams to have alignment on existing & new material codes
- Partner with the Tax team to have the correct tax classification & tax codes.
- Work with NFTP team to review, design & implement MDG/M as a standard platform for Material management & data migration from legacy to S4
- Active participation in new & upcoming platform design with a focus on Material master mapping & harmonization.
- Implementation of upstream process improvements in line with the Standards and Controls
- Act as a Material data partner to CX, finance, BPOs, FBPs and establish an engagement framework to drive data governance
- Align with sales & procurement teams to have material code mapping at rate level.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master’s degree combined with exposure to SAP master like customer, vendor or Material or other ERP master data knowledge.
You have a good understanding of Data Quality Dimension with hands-on experience in driving data quality measurement and improvement.
Furthermore you:
- Can formulate, organize & monitor projects along with stakeholder management
- Have problem-solving, macro-level research and analytics approach and good in numbers
- Have financial and business acumen - understanding business/process impact on financial results
- Able to build strong business relationships and effectively communicate across functions
- Have hands-on experience in Data Analysis models that will help explore, analyze and remediate data quality issues.
- Have good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Are result-driven individual with ability to adapt to a dynamic environment of targets, priorities & go live
- Previous experience in master data management & governance will be added advantage.
