We also play a pivotal role in M&A (Merger & Acquisition) integrations, as Maersk is embarking on an ambitious journey to enhance an end-to-end offering to customers.

In the Global Business Change Management (GBCM) team within Transformation Office, you will work with a diverse, talented, and supportive team. The position is based in our Headquarter Campus in Copenhagen, Denmark, with stakeholders globally.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a strong talent who is keen on driving change management on one or more M&A integration projects. Sound change management is key to achieving successful integrations of incoming organisations into Maersk. It is an excellent opportunity to interact with and influence senior leaders, support key stakeholders across the organisation, and have a direct impact on our transformation success.

As we continuously strive to improve our ways of working, you will also be instrumental to help improve the Maersk GBCM framework and tools along with colleagues in the GBCM team.

Accountabilities:

Create and deliver high-quality GBCM plans fit for purpose to large-scale high impact cross-functional, and global M&A programmes, manage complex stakeholder groups, and lead change workstreams. Support the development of team members' capabilities. Train and coach senior executives, leaders and change agents in change leadership capabilities Promote and use the Maersk GBCM framework consistently across programmes and ensure continuous improvement. Facilitate and support the transformation agenda and ways of working.

Desired outcomes:

  • Enable business to adopt changes, minimize business disruption, and prepare people for changes to achieve and sustain change outcomes.


  • Help continuously improve the GBCM capability in the team.


  • Enable strong business change management capability with senior executives, leaders and change agents to successfully drive and embed change.


  • Ensure a scalable business change management offering with one consistent approach and toolbox.


Experience and competencies

  • 8+ years change management expertise and additional business experience preferred

  • Proven track record of delivering business change results related to large-scale, organizational transformations and M&A integrations in a dynamic environment in a large, global organization.

  • Ability to:

    • build partnerships, consult, influence, and collaborate with business executives, leadership, HR partners, and cross-organizational peers to gain commitment and accomplish business outcomes

    • build strategic and outcome focused change management plans taking into account the business case of a given M&A project

    • work with complex stakeholder landscapes in Maersk as well as the organizations that we acquire


  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

  • Advanced PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint skills

  • A team player with high degree of resilience, empathy, and agility.
