You will be joining Corporate Law & Special Projects, a team with a highly dynamic and varied profile within the Maersk Legal organisation.

The role will be initially focused on furthering our efforts to simplify our group corporate structure which is a key priority for the Maersk Group over the coming years. You will work together with every department in the organisation at a management level to assess, plan and deliver corporate structuring initiatives in a wide variety of countries.

The role will provide you with unique insights into the Maersk Group operation and you will play a key role in delivering the model for Maersk interacting with its stakeholders from a corporate standpoint.

As the role progresses, you will have the opportunity to support a diverse range of projects owned or contributed towards by Maersk Legal, assisting teams in delivering efficient and successful outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the execution of corporate restructurings in conjunction with internal lawyers, local teams and external advisors
  • Drafting project related documentation such as project guidance, processes etc.
  • Initiate and deliver efficiency initiatives to improve project management processes
  • Develop project best practice and project management templates and methodologies
  • Project manage legal workstreams in relation to corporate restructuring projects, including:
    • Preparing step plans for restructuring projects
    • Following up on execution of project plans
    • Identifying, monitoring and escalating risks in relation to project execution
    • Reporting back to management on project progress


Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years previous project management experience, preferably within a similar environment (e.g. legal, tax, compliance, advisory or consulting).

Project management qualifications from a recognized institute preferred.

Furthermore you:

  • Have strong Microsoft Office 365 skills
  • Are a natural organiser who takes pleasure in managing processes
  • Are a quick learner with an ability to work independently in a complex and sometimes demanding environment
  • Have the ability to move projects forward by gaining the support needed from others while working in a cross-functional role
  • Are a confident and inquisitive mindset.
