Key Responsibilities
As the Vessel Deployment Specialist, you will be having accountability for the deployment of vessel assets to ensure we can deliver on customer promises while at the same time optimizing across several strategic considerations such as decarbonization, cost and efficiency.
You will in close collaboration with colleagues in Network & Market, Operations, Chartering and Areas be responsible for developing capacity plans to match customer requirements and our strategic ambitions.
This includes coordination and negotiation with external VSA partners.
Furthermore, you will as part of deployment specialist community assist with developing the optimal fleet mix basis current and future surplus/deficit situation on vessel segments across all market and brands in the Maersk family
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have a background within vessel operation and have the passion for joining a team where you can grow and make a difference.
You combine a customer mindset with a good understanding of ship management and/or marine/capacity management.
Furthermore, you:
- Are logical & analytical with strong problem-solving skills
- Have clear ability convert concepts into actions
- Are a strong person, with a natural inclination to both challenge and cooperate
- Are able to engage with multiple stakeholders simultaneously
You have a positive mindset and are able to communicate with internal and external stakeholders and you have the ability to think outside the box.
