The role of the Internal Product Communications Manager



You will play a vital part in our success, helping ensure that Maersk’s newly formed Technology Services and Engineering (TSE) organization’s mission is distilled and communicated both within the organization and across Maersk. TSE has been tasked with transforming and modernizing Maersk’s Infrastructure capabilities underpinning the broader Technology organization – as such, this role is critical in ensuring the alignment of the organization toward our strategic goals as well as communication of progress against those goals to the enter Maersk organization. Key Responsibilities


  • Work closely with the Director of Product Management and TSE Senior Leadership team to understand high level product and organizational strategy and current developments across our global business and translate that into engaging, easy to understand, and compelling internal communications to our full team.
  • Write, edit, and distribute internal communications in keeping with brand, business goals, product strategy and organizational strategy, (strategy communications, new initiatives, team newsletter, intranet content, video content, etc.).
  • Develop and update centralized communication mechanisms and create library of products and associated knowledge repositories for TSE team and cross-functional partners.
  • Ensure communications align with and support the TSE organization’s key business objectives, strategic priorities, mission, values and brand, are accurate, and connect, inform and inspire action for team members at every level.
  • Define, monitor, track, measure, and report on impact of all internal communications activities.
  • Develop, manage and maintain content calendar for internal channels e.g. Yammer, Newsletter, etc.
  • Manage asset repositories and platforms to ensure that tools and templates for communication are up-to-date and readily accessible
  • Seek innovative ways to improve communication processes through digitization/automation and process improvements
  • Manage ongoing relationships with external vendors and agencies (e.g., printers, graphic designers, advertising agencies, media outlets) to use for communications
  • Be responsible for collecting relevant information, and other meaningful data to be used in the development of communication content
  • Develop and deliver materials with content of high quality, depth, and relevance to be used in internal campaigns and business communications
  • Produce engaging written content that’s relevant to the organization’s narrative and key messages
  • Develop impactful PowerPoint presentations and cascade packs to support leadership with communications on high level initiatives, projects, change management etc.

Key Skills


  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Corporate Communications, Marketing, Media Relations, Internal Communications, or similar roles in a technical / engineering / product environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, or other related discipline.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in corporate communications
  • Strong leadership communication skills and the ability to simplify complex and technical topics
  • Superlative communication skills in all forms; ability to communicate clearly to diverse audiences across many formats
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Demonstration of good judgment, tact and discretion when dealing with confidential and highly sensitive information
  • Highly experienced in supporting senior stakeholders with their communication needs and deliver high-quality output, and having excellent collaboration and relationship skills
  • Experienced in organizing and running virtual events leveraging various toolkits intended for engaging the audience
  • Able to build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders by listening, advising and executing at a consistently high level
  • An avid learner, able to work with diverse subjects and technical experts and turn their inputs into compelling communication with a strong link to the strategic transformation
  • Ideal candidates will be experienced in producing their own work in multiple formats, including live or virtual town halls, written content, podcast, video etc
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft O365 tools – Teams, Yammer, SharePoint, etc.

Additional Competencies


  • Experienced in running campaigns through internal channels (i.e., Yammer) and across major social media channels
