As the head of the IT department we need you to take ownership of all IT related affairs. The department is, at the moment, in a transitional phase, so first of all, you will need to set the short term course for them team. Next you will need to build rapport with your HOD colleagues in the group as well as partnering businesses and other stakeholders.

Going forward the emphasis is on results. Building effective systems and processes, that achieve results through and with other people is paramount. The job environment is flexible, constantly changing and provides growth opportunity, recognition and reward for the achievement of business results.

This position will be reporting directly to the Executive Director of Strategic Operations.

Opgaver

Leadership

  • Aligning BC Hospitality Groups Strategic vision into tactical and operational leadership of the IT department and team.
  • Leadership of 2000 team members IT- and system usage.
  • Departmental leadership and competences development.
  • Optimize and simplify process flow and reduce “waste” (time and products)

Finance

In charge of departmental budget and cross organizational IT expenses.

Partners & Suppliers

Operating a small and agile team, a well-balanced approached towards strong third-party partnership and internal capabilities is the key to success.

To support this approach, it is expected that this position;

  • Assist the procurement team in new contracts as subject matter expert.
  • Keep a healthy and long termed balanced win-win approach towards partners and suppliers.
  • Contribute with shared value to both internal and external partners and stakeholders.

Development

  • IT security focus/GDPR compliance.
  • Consequent and Risk evaluation.
  • Crisis management processes
  • Dynamics 365
  • Office 365

  • Asset management
  • Implement and finalize IT related projects in pipeline.

A profound understanding of IT organization, coupled with initiative and competitive drive, and the ability to stay focused on results despite changing conditions, is the key to achieving success in this position. You are known for your factual expertise as well as your confidence in own decisions. You purposely drive toward results while constantly and simultaneously problem-solve and engage commitment from our team, colleagues and stakeholders along the way.

Even though your leadership style is firm and goal oriented, you manage to motivate, train, and engage others in an enthusiastic way. Because the pace of the work is faster than average, your ability to learn quickly and thoroughly while continually recognizing and adapting to changing conditions is critical.

Other than that:

  • You have proven track record in IT management and leadership from large and complex enterprise environments (5 years+)
  • You are dependable, adaptable and flexible when necessary
  • You are able to create structure and take ownership of the end-to-end processes within the IT department – both towards our clients and toward colleagues and partners
  • A good commercial understanding, a structured approach and sense of urgency is vital to succeed in this role
  • Strong communication skills in English written and spoken. –
  • Danish is a strong plus, but not a prerequisite
  • You are willing to work flexible hours
