The risk of financial crime is an increasing global problem, and prevention of financial crime has the highest priority for Nordea. It is important that we have the right tools, processes, frameworks and people in place to fight financial crime.
The offer
Financial Crime Risk Management competence center on provides financial crime risk management expertise, knowledge and services across the first line of defence, in collaboration with other relevant functions across Nordea. The aim is to ensure a robust, high-quality financial crime risk management across Nordea, supporting and working with the business and GFCP to identifying, assess, mitigate and monitor financial crime issues and risks.
The Head of Financial Crime Risk Management will be part of Group Financial Crime Prevention (GFCP). You will deliver responsibilities across the Group and operate on Financial Crime matters and oversight, reporting to Head of Group Financial Crime Prevention.
What you'll be doing:
- Be responsible for implementing and maintaining an appropriate, integrated Financial Crime framework across the Group taking into account the complexity and risk profile of the organisation
- Work with relevant parties to ensure the Group is aware of and meets its legal and regulatory obligations in respect of Financial Crime related regulation and legislation
- Provide oversight of Financial Crime policies and control, ensure the Group has appropriate tools and systems in place to manage its key Financial Crime risks
- Drive consistent risk management processes, procedures and solutions into the organisation, with an emphasis on reducing unnecessary overlap or duplication
- Manage the interface between the Business and GFCP in relation to Financial Crime Risk management
- Represent Nordea with regulators, authorities and 3rd parties
- Supply advise and guidance in relation to financial crime risk management to the organisation
- Ensure a robust quality control framework and process is embedded and outcomes reported
- Efficiently chair formal forums and committees
- Engaging with multiple stakeholders to reach an outcome which delivers both compliance and drives efficiency
- Leading a team of specialists to deliver the above outcomes
- Leaning-in and contributing as part of a larger Management/ Leadership team within GFCP

Your profile and background:
- 10+ years of proven experience in the financial services industry
- Relevant educational background (Master)
- In-depth knowledge and experience with Financial Crime
- Highly collaborative with ability to influence and motivate across business areas, functional areas and different levels of the organization
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, gravitas and capability to work with senior management/ Executives
- Strong, confident and clear communicator
- Able to demonstrate understanding and experience of a complex organization and the cultural dimension
- Strong influencing skills
