Head of Operational Excellence
Are you experienced within LEAN and change management? Do you enjoy working with optimization of operations in an international setting? And are you motivated by setting the direction and building a new high performing team?
We are a newly established sales region that has embarked on an exciting and ambitious growth journey, while at the same time becoming a CO2-neutral company. We are looking to harmonize and optimize our ways of working within operations to utilize our regional scale. Further we have an ambition to foster a culture based on data driven decisions and continuous improvement for the benefit of customers and employees.
The operations in North West Europe (NWE) region are organised into 4 different sales markets: Great Britain & Ireland, The Netherlands, Belgium and Nordics (Denmark, Sweden, Norway & Finland) and consists of three main functional areas within the organisation:
- Customer and Partner service: A customer facing “available on demand” call centre.
- After Sales Service: The technical help and training to installers and onsite service to customers in case of product errors.
- Support: Back office function dealing with administrative jobs and processes to support partners and internal teams.
Your challenges
As Head of Operational Excellence you will join the operations management team in NWE region and be working closely with experts in the markets as well as our regional digital function to identify opportunities for process optimizations and standardization, plan and execute projects in alignment with markets and ensure monitoring of results after implementation.
High customer and employee satisfaction levels are the overall objective of this position. You will create and develop the initiatives that will enable us to reach the agreed targets for the customer satisfaction level and you will specify the KPI’s and dashboards which we will use to measure and validate the results. The first task however is taking the lead in setting your team ensuring the right mix of competences and business experience.
The position requires that you:
- Establish a data driven continuous improvement culture cross operations in NWE region focusing on customer and employee satisfaction.
- Design and deliver improvement projects in markets with direct impact on bottom line.
- Establish operational performance indicators across functions and apply measures to monitor and follow up.
- Design and introduce an annual wheel of main tasks to ensure consistent solid performance in all teams.
- Ensure mapping of existing business processes in all markets and drive process standardization across the region.
- See potential for digitization of processes and form projects with relevant stakeholders.
- Are able to lead the way in utilizing our regional scale within operational tasks.
You will be based at the Head Office in Hørsholm, Denmark and be part of a global organisation. You will be travelling extensively to our regional offices in the Nordics, Netherlands, Belgium and Scotland. We expect the international travelling days will ad up to app. 50 days annually.
Your qualifications
You have an excellent analytical, creative and business-oriented mindset. Further you are humble and curios to understand details as well as identifying the underlying reasons for an issue. With your positive can-do attitude you inspire and motive your team to perform their best while leading the way on the change journey. You are able to work cross markets and have great understanding of stakeholder management.
Moreover, we expect that you:
- Have a relevant education.
- Have a Six Sigma belt/LEAN training combined with practical experience within LEAN projects.
- Are experienced with project management and change management from a similar position or consultancy.
- Are ready to build a team and excel your leadership skills.
- Have a holistic business understanding.
- Are ready to join a team with an aspiration and belief that happy customers and happy employees will form a great foundation for good business.
- Are a good communicator with proficiency in written and spoken English.
