Sourcing Manager

The position
As our new colleague you will be responsible for:

  • Indirect procurement and sourcing processes in the Danish and Swedish affiliates.
  • Ensuring and delivering effective sourcing services in Denmark and Sweden on competitive terms for Novo Nordisk
  • Supporting the affiliates by driving effective, compliant and competitive sourcing processes
  • Conducting sourcing training internally to ensure compliance within Novo Nordisk framework
  • Contributing to the Finance Vision and strategy of being the best finance operations in the global pharma industry
  • Identifying and executing cost reduction initiatives

You will be a functional expert and partner in good contract negotiation and preparation. You will also actively engage with sourcing and procurement colleagues in Region North West Europe.

You will be the head of the implementation of the Coupa Purchasing system in the Danish and Swedish affiliate including becoming a local Coupa Purchasing champion. You will be working with procurement colleagues in Region NWE and HQ on both local and international projects.

Qualifications

You are the great candidate if you have:

  • At least 4 years of experience in sourcing or procurement preferably within an international company
  • Experience in using procurement IT systems
  • Strategic thinking and Data Analysis skills
  • Master’s Degree (e.g. in economics, business administration, finance)

As a person you are outgoing and self-driven, you have strong functional leadership skills, including an ability to building relationships and trust and to obtain commitment stakeholders. You have solid communication skills and you like to drive complex business projects. You enjoy sharing your knowledge, providing support for your colleagues when they need it.

As we work in an international environment you must be fluent (both verbally and in writing) in English.

About the department
The Finance and Operations department in Novo Nordisk Denmark is a commercial oriented organisation supporting the Danish affiliate with in-depth market analysis, budgeting, supply chain and compliance. The department consists of an international and diverse group of highly dedicated professionals. The team is characterised by a lot of energy, collaboration and trust. The team is ambitious and the phase is high, but the tone is informal and there is a fun and good spirited atmosphere in the department.
