Kamstrup is a Danish technology company and one of the world’s leading manufacturer of intelligent metering solutions. We experience significant demand for our products and focus massively on development and production of intelligent metering equipment and systems for energy and water consumption. Because of an increased demand for our innovative and intelligent solutions worldwide, we are looking for a new Head of Strategic Business Development to our Water Division.
With direct reference to the Head of Product and Commercial Management of our Water Division you will be heading the Strategic Business Development Team consisting of 5 dedicated Business Development Managers. You will in the role as Head of Strategic Business Development also become a part of the extended management team in the Water Division.
Head of Strategic Business Development with commercial focus
As Head of Strategic Business Development, you will be working in close collaboration with customers, external partners, Sales, R&D, Marketing and Water Division Management. We expect you to bring together multiple people and perspectives to inspire the strategic development our water business.
More specific primary tasks for you and your team will be:

This role calls for a driven, communicative, and strategic profile with profound leadership skills (both people/project management and cross functional). You are used to navigating in a fast-paced environment, which puts demands on your ability to juggle multiple responsibilities at the same time, and delegate tasks effectively. You are a strong communicator and a world class presenter. You have the ability to build positive relations and communicate clearly to customers and stakeholders throughout the organization, and you possess a natural authority through your personal and professional experience.
You hold a Master’s degree, in business or engineering and have at least 10 years’ professional experience working in the field of international business development, strategy and product management. In addition, it is a requirement that you:
If you have experience from the water industry it will be seen as an advantage.
You are fluent in English both written and oral. Danish will be an asset.

- Division strategy development & implementation
- Drive international business and market development
- Drive the further development of the portfolio strategy, product mix, solution roadmaps and innovation pipeline
- Manage a small portfolio of strategic projects focusing on business development or new product/solution scoping
- Drive co-development and strategic collaboration with innovation partners and large clients

- Have 3-5 years of experience from a People Manager role in a business development department in an international company
- Have gained experience from working abroad, e.g. in US or Asia
- Have experience from working within solution oriented high-tech firms (combining hardware, software and service)

You are fluent in English both written and oral. Danish will be an asset.
