Become a part of our Operations and Logistics Management team
Kamstrup is a Danish technology company and one of the world’s leading manufacturer of intelligent metering solutions. We experience significant demand for our products and focus massively on development and production of intelligent metering equipment and systems for energy and water consumption.

With direct reference to our Head of Operations & Logistics, and as a member of the management team, you will become part of our Operations and Logistics team in our Supply Chain. The team is focused on delivering high quality solutions and ensuring an optimal production. In the position as Head of Operational Production Technology you will be responsible for a team of 4 PT Managers, 1 Maintenance Manager and their local teams.

Our production is characterized as Configured Mass Production and produces more than 2 million high-end meters per years in principle as one-piece production. A large part of the production is highly automated with use of robots, AGVs, advanced analytics and modern management principles such as LEAN, performance KPI’s etc. Most production is done in-house and covers among other things PCB production, assembly, configuration and advanced testing of both hardware and software. There is a high focus on competence development of operators, technicians and leaders to meet future demand. We aim to capture future opportunities to apply technology in the Supply Chain with customer value as our main focus point.

Lead and develop future Operational Production Technology
In the newly established position as Head of Operational Production Technology you will be responsible for ensuring that the daily operations runs as smooth as possible, and at the same time ensure that we continuously optimize our processes and equipment standardization across factories globally.

More specifically your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Secure high up time on manufacturing equipment/platforms
  • Step change process stability and lift maintenance standards
  • Drive process and equipment standardization and complexity reduction across factories globally
  • Secure true cost transparency and drive cost out
  • Provide resources for new product introduction and CAPEX investments
  • Lift Production Technology competence level and empower operators to take on more repair and maintenance tasks
  • Lead and manage the Operational Production Technology team through leadership development, people development, coaching, training and talent acquisition

In the job, you can expect around 30 travel days per year.

Personality matters
As a person you possess the ability to implement solutions and optimize for the benefit of the full value chain. You have the ability to influence and drive change both within your own team and with stakeholders across the organization even in complex and diverse situations. In addition, you are outgoing and have a customer centricity mindset and strong communication skills that enables you to communicate complex information in a simple and transparent manner.

You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering or similar and have minimum 10 years of experience with leading Production Technology and Engineering in operations environments e.g. in a position as Head of Global Production Technology, Head of Engineering, Head of PTA or similar.

In addition, it is a requirement that you:

  • Have experience from working internationally
  • Possess strong leadership skills and have a proven track record of leading and developing Production Technology
  • Have a passion for people and their development and has succeeded building high performance teams as leader of leaders

You are fluent in English and Danish both written and oral.
