European Energy covers all phases of wind and photovoltaic (PV) solar projects, from greenfield development to construction, operation and divestment of assets. Our company of 140 employees has since 2004 installed more than 1,000 MW of renewable energy. We operate globally and employ 20 different nationalities at our office in Søborg, Copenhagen. Our mission is to be a significant force in the global transition to a fossil free society.
You will be part of our Project Department, which handles development and construction of our projects globally and as Head of Emerging Markets you will be commercial lead of one of eight market teams with reference to our Project Director. The Emerging Markets team is currently very active in Brazil and other markets may be added to your portfolio over time. Your main responsibilities will be to head our commercial team currently consisting of 4 employees and to take commercial lead on the development and construction of our renewable projects within Wind and PV.
As Head of the Emerging Markets team, you coordinate and contribute to assessing feasibility and commercial potential of projects and secure progress through the project life cycle. Finally, you will identify and evaluate potential partners, advisors and subcontractors in local markets.
Based on our matrix organization, all projects involve close cooperation with financial, legal and technical colleagues as well as with (IFU) The Danish Climate Investment Fund.

- Head and develop our commercial team, including goal setting, performance management, coaching and training
- Lead our project development in emerging markets
- Drive commercial processes in renewable projects, both wind and solar
- Expand the project pipeline by identifying and developing new business opportunities
Professional skills we expect from you
- You have completed a bachelor or master at university level or an equivalent institution within engineering, economics or similar
- At least 7 years of experience, preferably from a similar role with people management
- Experience with the renewable energy industry, primarily in wind and solar technologies
- Full professional proficiency in English and Portuguese
- Strong leadership skills
