We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
In our culture of trust, we focus on empowerment, diversity and continuous learning. Valuing our people is what makes us one global team, with our colleagues’ safety at the heart of our organization.
For our department we are looking for a Project Procurement Manager. This is an exciting opportunity based in our office in Vejle. The role integrates procurement in the project management process and project teams at an early stage. The role further organises, controls and monitors all procurement activities in a project and introduces procurement strategies, targeting maximum contribution to the operating result and guaranteeing the observance of the procurement processes described.
How to contribute to our vision
You will participate in project/sales meetings as project core team member to exert a shaping influence at an early stage and to optimise internal workflows and processes. In projects you will establish proper sourcing processes and control all procurement resources and activities and make sure all involved in procurement deliver optimum impact of cost-cutting potential (procurement plan, target costing) and other procurement targets to meet requirements relating to deadlines and quality.
You will apply procurement regulations as per compliance and organisation standards and analyse customer enquiries during bid preparation / opportunity management phases and exactly understand the customer’s functional needs in order to include (supplier) innovations that improve Siemens Gamesa’s cost position and / or the customer’s benefit.
Besides you will support project calculation with reliable material cost data and analyse scope of supply and contract agreements, carry out risk analyses and introduce negotiation recommendations together with Commodity Management to prepare for negotiations with suppliers (back-to-back where appropriate) and to initiate appropriate measures.
You will also analyse sales and operations planning in respect of starting/new projects, assessing and control material costs within the whole project business in order to ensure the involvement of procurement. You will derive procurement strategies in projects and ensure their implementation, as well as identify solution approaches and integrate diverse objectives to achieve the project and the strategic procurement targets. You will head up contractual and price negotiations and/or support the specialist buyers responsible for particular material fields to secure project targets with optimum conditions and clarify internal indicators for project controlling and compiling all relevant information to submit qualified reports e.g. for the project team, procurement management team, savings reporting.
You will also provide supplier information to the project, conduct project-specific supplier evaluations, identify particular procurement risks, opportunities and market forces during the project together with the Commodity Management to avoid potential damage/exploit potential opportunities through tailored risk and claim management (e.g. contractual framework). You will forward systematically all relevant procurement related project information (e.g. updated contractual conditions, supplier management data) to keep all project participants up to date.
What you need to make a difference
It is essential that you have proven strategic & operational procurement experience and experience in managing a virtual team of internal cross-functional partners. Ideally you have experience of working with cross functional teams in a project management environment. Besides you should have excellent communication skills at all levels and be able to collaborate internally and with external suppliers. Ideally you have intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint & SAP.
In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
In return of your commitment we offer you…
Become a part of our mission for sustainability: Clean energy for generations to come. We are a global team of diverse colleagues who share a passion for renewable energy and have a culture of trust and empowerment to make our own ideas a reality. We focus on personal and professional development to grow internally within our organization. Siemens Gamesa offers a wide variety of benefits such as flexible working hours as well as home-office possibility for many colleagues, employer-funded pension, attractive remuneration package (fixed/variable) and local benefits such as subsided lunch, employee discounts and much more
