Manufacturing & Global Procurement Global Procurement Powertrain, Nacelles & Towers Powertrain Generator
The category for which the purchaser is needed is Generator, belonging the Powertrain category. This area consists of multiple suppliers spread out over the globe with a 140 million EUR spend per year, distributed among a global team.
Responsbilities
- You will join an innovative team with a very high level of strategic exposure within Vestas. Your everyday activities will be characterised by a high activity level and requirement to engage in-, coordinate and prioritise between different projects. Overall expected deliverables include:
- Optimize the current supply base including the TCO cost base
- Become an important part of the Category Team, working across different business units and regions within Vestas. You will be involved and coordinate implementation of the category strategies.
- Promote continuous improvement programs both internally and at the suppliers
- Ensure adherence to KPI's set by Global Procurement in regards to safety, quality, cost, delivery, innovation and sustainability.
- Participate in selection, qualification, negotiation and contracting with suppliers within the category.
- Lead Value-chain analysis and improvements, propelling the supply chain to the next level
Qualifications
- Newly graduated with a degree in either Supply Chain Management, Finance/Accounting, Sales/Marketing, Engineering or hold minimum 5 years of work experience within Strategic Purchasing
- Great communication skills including fluent in English (both orally and in writing)
- Proven record of good stakeholder management skills incl. experience with communication
- Advanced skills within PPT, Excel and Word are a must
- SAP experience is an advantage but not a requirement
- Experience with mechanical components an advantage
