We are looking for a skilled IT Production Infrastructure Manager to enable the digital transformation of Novo Nordisk. You will be a part of developing the foundational IT capabilities required for Novo Nordisk to succeed with an ambitious transformation of our entire business process landscape.
Global IT is launching a new initiative to create the necessary core IT capabilities within infrastructure, integrations, data management, and platforms that will enable the digitalisation and future growth of our business. Throughout 2020 we will be recruiting different profiles for this initiative. This is part of our next wave of hiring so the people we bring on board now, have a unique chance to put their footprint on the programme.

The department
The position is based in Global IT Operations - an area with 200+ employees distributed across more than 25 countries, managing our infrastructure operations and digital workplace services.
Production Infrastructure is one of the product areas responsible for the innovation, design, build and operations of production IT infrastructure and the surrounding services, which are used on a global scale. These services are highly critical to the execution of key business processes.
Our team consists of highly qualified Information Technology Engineers and IT-Architects who working in close co-operation with Novo Nordisk in Bangalore, India, and external vendors. We have a strong focus on collaboration, we are curious, and we are embracing new ideas on how to deliver projects successfully.
We are on a journey applying agile ways of working in our organisation, and our IT projects will be delivered according to the SAFE framework with agile teams running sprints/iterations.
The position
As an IT Production Infrastructure Manager, you will become responsible for establishing solid business partnering and communication processes that will enable better control of the changes and thus the availability of IT.
You will be working both independently and in close collaboration with our management teams and global stakeholders. Your activities will be strategically important to Production Infrastructure and will have top priority and support from senior management. This calls for excellent stakeholder management at all organisational levels in the company.
The key responsibilities of the IT Production Infrastructure Manager in Production Infrastructure include:
• Business coordinator with global stakeholders in manufacturing - Coordinate high risk, business critical and/or GXP validated IT activities and services with global stakeholders.
• Alignment and communication - Innovate, design and develop communication relevant for the global stakeholders of Production Infrastructure
• Transformation and change management - ensure transparency of Production Infrastructure managed IT environment and general health of technology components and infrastructure services in the area. Ensure well aligned, evaluated coordinated changes and releases in GITO PI services enabling continuous production and avoid downtime due to lack of availability of IT systems
• Optimize and streamline our processes - Ongoing process optimization in Production Infrastructure to reduce or eliminate time and resource wastage leading to support fast to market strategy in PS
The position can be in Bagsværd or Kalundborg, Denmark.
Your qualifications
- Bachelor (BSc.) or master’s degree (MSc.) in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant fields
- 5-8 years of proven experience with management of IT as well as solid knowledge of GxP processes and practices
- Excellent communication skills written and orally in Danish and English; ability to orchestrate communication with stakeholder who holds limited in-depth IT knowledge
- Strong general business understanding
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, processes and operations
- Motivated by challenges, and seeking to develop new competencies
- Proactive approach to work tasks, and holds a can-do attitude
- Display an inclusive mindset and respect the diversity in others
- Prior experience within the pharma and manufacturing industry is endorsed, but not a requirement
- Preferably, experience in working within an Agile/SAFe framework
