CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
2 years project contract with good benefits based on the Danish Salaried Employees Act, pension, health insurance.
Place of work: first half 2021 in our CPH office and after a mix of being in the CPH office and visiting shipyards/supplier’s premises either in Europe or Asia for shorter or longer durations (exact place to be defined later following award of shipbuilding contracts).

ABOUT THE JOB:
- The SHIPBUILDING PROJECT CONTROL ENGINEER will be the bridge between the shipyard and Shipbuilding manager, FLC Project Control management, Shipbuilding Engineering team from partners organisation for all matters related to cost, progress, reporting and schedule follow-up.
- Liaises with the site team regarding progress statements issued by the Shipyards to confirm their adequacy and integrate the same for invoicing acceptance and follow-up.
- Working closely with the site team and be able to report risks and opportunities to the management.
KEY ACTIVITIES
- Generates project progress charts and cost reports
- Handles cost engineering functions involving budget preparation, cost control, forecasting and cost reporting
- Keeps internal building schedule up to date including 3-weeks, - and 6months look ahead consequences
- Secures that the progress is in line with the contractual schedule
- Handles planning, milestone & Keydates coordination, schedule tasks for the planned inspections, and completion milestones
- Ensures timely issuance of Monthly reports and coordinates with Site teams to obtain related needed information
- Review Risks and opportunities with the Shipbuilding team and ensure proper integration in the Risk software.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- BA or BS degree in engineering, construction or project management
- Experience from off-shore or ship building projects will be an advantage
- Demonstrated experience with planning, monitoring, and reporting of budgets, forecasts, and expenditures for major or multi-year projects and/or programs
- Demonstrated ability to interface effectively & collaborate with clients/shipyard/management to successfully meet shifting needs
- Must have good oral/written communication skills in English and be able to present technical information in simple, non-technical terms
- Must demonstrate the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, participate in the development of the comply with safety with safety policies, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
- Must demonstrate effective resource and project coordination, decision making, results delivery, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.
- Must demonstrate strong ethics, influence, negotiation, interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.
